The Clarion Ledger is just pitiful.

Just went to their site and read the stories on the MSU and UM baseball games yesterday. In neither story did they give the score of the games. Just that both won. They did have the MSU score in the caption to a picture. That is pathetic.

not disagreeing with you but....

as seen in my sunday paper, the clarion ledger sports section won an award....should i say, 3 awards for their sports 'journalism' last week....in fact, there were 3 awards being given and they won all three....to add light to it, there have only been 3 newpapers in the country to win all 3 at the same time, which winning all 3 at the same time was like winning the triple crown as it was compared to....the only other 3 to do so were new york times, the DC newspaper, and 1 other....(ive already thrown the paper away)....

I will have to say since gannett took the CL over, the paper has become better.....not many like gannett, but they have done wonders for the CL and its readability...

kudos to rusty hampton for the awards.....but hampton....come on with the talty thing.....guy is borderline unbearable....

been a daily subscriber since the day I left for MSU in Aug 95.....gotta have my paper....

The article on DNF was pretty good but I really didn't need 4 pages of the chick that took a lot of steroids and looked like a dude

Agree on both points. The steroid story was interesting (I didn't realize it was a Mississippi native testing positive that started the BALCO scandal). But I didn't come out of it with any sympathy for her at all. After all her lying, now she expects us to believe she's telling the truth? She doesn't admit to any responsibility at all and puts all the blame, and accusations, on her coaches.

then when she didn't get any sympathy, after playing the victim card, she threw out the "I got molested by my coaches" card. She is obviously very bitter, broke and with that felony on her record she will never get a good job. Wasn't even allowed to take the state bar after graduating law school.

Yeah. I took that accusation with a huge grain of salt. Very easy for her to claim that when from what I read she was a willing partipant, just like she was with the steroids. It seems pretty clear to me she's just trying to play another angle. One thing I thought was ironic is that she's a fitness trainer now. Who would want to be trained by a known steroid abuser?
