I agree, but I also think there is merit to what the OP stated. The standard focus group approved ******** and comedy spin quips on his gaffes aren't going to stick. It comes across as insincere, especially from her who has a problem with sincerity anyway. I heard her make some quip the other day in one of her rallies and it gave me the deuce chills. It reminded of Scott Walker's line in the debate "We don't need another apprentice in the White House, we've got one of those right now". Just landed like a flat turd, as did hers because you know it wasn't spontaneous nor does it sound like it was, especially from her.
