Some things that stood out to me:

QB- Tyson Lee AND Chris Relf listed as starters. Don't know how much stock to put into this because Mullen has said repeatedly that we will use two QB's and play off of their strengths.

H-back/WR- Kendrick Cook listed here as the starter. Looks like we will do what a lot of spread teams do and line the TE out wide a la Shannon Sharpe with the Broncos on occasion.

RB- AD listed as a starter.

DT- Pernell McPhee listed as a starter here instead of at DE.

DE- Ferguson is the starter on one side and Brandon Cooper/Trevor Stiggars on the other.

CB- Damien Anderson and Marcus Washington listed as starters. Could get toasty over there.

KR/PR- Leon Berry tabbed as the starter.

but I still have all my wool on & I think Mullen >> Croom. There was no excuse for playing in Ruston, & there was also no excuse for losing in Ruston. The Rock (who was IMO a below avg coach) still beat Ark St & La Tech (although just barely). Although at first I liked a lot of the BS Croom was spewin' (Maroon is all that matters, etc.), I finally figured out that he talked a good game but couldn't get it done on the field (& I actually really wanted him to succeed; I ain't yore typical inbred MS whitebread racist).

The ONLY time I can recall a two QB system working was when Mullen was the OC at UF with Leak and Tebow.

It may not work, but at least we have a guy that has done it before successfully. In theory, that should increase our odds of a two QB system working. I'm pretty sure ours is going to be the more "pro-style" guy- Lee or Russell getting a majority of the snaps with the "dual-threat" guy coming in in spots- Relf. I'm OK with doing that. Heck, Vandy won a bowl game rotating three guys.

I'm not OK with doing what Croom did with the two QB system- have two "pro-style" guys playing one half and the other comes in the next half. That has been proven to not work time and time again.

I thought we should have flown in and stayed in Shreveport or Monroe the day before. We should of let Pegues play the second half or suspend him the first half of La Tech and the first half of SELU. Pegues was our best player on ST, and I think we win that game if we can field a couple of punts. And I also think we should have made a decision on the QB- Carroll or Lee. Not both.

I thought those were three fatal mistakes we made.

I really wanted Croom to succeed too. But, it was just time to move on.

And I ain't yore typical inbred MS whitebread racist either. lol

It's practically impossible to watch Mullin and get the "this mf'er has no idea what he's doing" attitude. In fact, the more I learn about him, the thicker my wool gets, and that is what worries me. I guess I'm just naturally pessimistic about MSU football, and I'm expecting something to go wrong.

but maybe a guy like Mullen is the type of guy we should have been hiring throughout all these years all along- an up and comer who is looking to move up. Although, I have to say Jackie was a good hire for 10 years.

..is our staring Holder. I thought he was some great athlete that could play WR and get some looks at QB. Is this a case of putting good athletes on special teams and letting them earn starts on offense or defense next year?

Cameron is a true freshman, but has good hands and good size and good speed and has some QB experience so he's perfect for a holder. If we ever wanted to run a fake or had a bad snap, he has a much better chance of pulling it off than anyone else on the team.

Interesting that McRae is slotted as the starter over Berry

I thought it was interesting that McRae is over Berry, and didn't hardly participate in spring. While Robert Elliot doesn't even get listed on the three deep RB roster and participated more than McRae did. Arnil Stallworth is listed as the third running back over Elliot. I know this depth chart doesn't mean much, but from what I had heard Stallworth might have to take a medical redshirt. I just thought it was funny that one guy coming off an injury is listed as a starter, while another can't break the three deep over a guy who might not be back next year.
