They both suck. There are no winners in that equation... somebody posted the other day their records over first 3 years are identical. Did I read that right?

...i think it was kong. I was so... disgusted I can't remember for sure. Made myself forget it...and failed apparently.

He got blown out against Minnesota, Iowa, and Penn state and his record against interim or suspended head coaches was 1-3 (PSU, Michigan, and Utah) this year. Also has yet to beat a ranked team here and has had the easiest schedules we’ve arguably ever had since joining the big ten. Not a hater but like….. gotta prove it somehow. A bad boy mowers pinstripe bowl doesn’t have me satisfied so far.

Yes. Both are 19-19 through 3 years here. And as many wins as the Frost Era did in 5 years.

Mike Riley took over a team that was in good shape and ran them into the ground. Matt Rhule took over a team that was in the toilet and is slowly lifting them out of the toilet.
Is this suppose to be some new news that none of us have figured out.

Did you want NU to pull the plug on Riley? Or did you play the role of slobbering SuperFan back then as well?

It’s amusing to watch people repeatedly double down on these underachieving nobodies - until they are finally fired, golden parachute in hand. Then suddenly they were terrible coaches who ran the program into the ground.

I wanted Nebraska to pull the plug on Mike Riley. I don't ever think he should have been hired to begin with.

I know the difference in their NFL careers. Though they are certainly two of the biggest colossal failures ever to haunt an NFL sideline, Riley's career .292 winning percentage is slightly better than Rhule's .289

And thats the guy we hired right off the couch.

Most of us always write about how Matt the Hat is a .500 coach with the Huskers. I just realized we are padding his stats. He is 10-17 in BIG games. Even Mike Riley was better than that at 12-14.

Matt deserves 7-8 years. Impossible to turn it around in 1-3 years
Are you one of Matt the Hat’s children? only someone who is getting some of the millions of easy dollars would be defending Matt so strongly. Seriously, when he has 4-6 wins which will include only 2-3 conference wins the next two years are you going to say he needs 6-8 years? Can he just go on and on losing with no consequences?

Rhule didn't have a bunch players who were Frost loyalists who hated our AD and didn't buy completely in.

Riley also didn't have the portal.

Both have underperformed.
