Your offense executed very well last night. I can't figure out how you lost to La-Lafayette before us... Best of luck going forward.
The game played out like I had expected. Troy is a very tough opponent, always has been. You guys always get up to play us, and for some reason we come out flat. Happened last year against Tech and UAB as well. It goes without saying, but if Croom were still our coach, or if '01-03 Jackie were, you would have beaten us walking away. Mullen hasnt let me down yet, and while its often an ugly win, he wins these games.

Your team played great. Was surprised to see empty seats in your stadium though. Only negative I have is the "high school" PA announcer and all the IN-COM-PLETE and FIRST DOWN ****. Sounded so ghetto and high schoolish.

Turnovers are part of the game.......
That's actually the blueprint on how to beat these type offenses. You obviously have to score too, but those high profile quick tempo offense produce alot of turnovers and miscues. Have to take advantage of them.
If that type of offense were the end all be all, I'm sure Saban would run it at Alabama. But they stay conservative because they have the superior talent, and don't have to risk that gimmicky crap that results in turnovers. Yes, it creates mismatches and evens the talent gap, but there are high risks that also come along with it.

Croom ran a West Coast Offense. That was a spread. Very different. The west coast is not as fast play and you hope to get yardage after the catch. That spread is set to pick up five to ten yards during the catch and it is set up to go deep where the West Coast is not a deep offense. The West Coast is gone the way of the Wish Bone and the true spread is out dated. Great to run from 20 to 20 but once inside the 20 the lack of real estate is a handicap.
I found the Troy fans and staff really helpful and nice. In the section we were sitting in, you could tell that the fans knew each other, enjoyed being at the games and loved Troy.
I think the In-com-plete and first down cheers did their work if they got under all our skins this much. And I appreciated not being bombarded by the constant noise that comes over the PA at SEC games.
I also liked not being searched as I went into the game although I didn't put this to good use.

You might want to let the Sunbelt higher-ups know that "Thunder Sticks" are artificial noisemakers too.

Please have a serious talk with them about how they handle the will call window. I've never really experienced anything like it. I bet there were a whole lotta folks who didn't make it into the stadium by ko.
