They're adding some tour dates after they finish up their residency at The Sphere in Vegas. Shows in Nashville, Dallas and Atlanta. Got my tix Friday. Anyone else going?

40 years too late...
There are a lot of acts I wish I could have caught in their prime, but they can give amazing performances when they’re older…

Seeing Hot Tuna last year at Nashville with Jorma & Jack in their 80s was one of them

I’d not looked to see what could work for me with the Eagles. I’m sure they priced me out of thinking of going though…

We saw the Eagles in the Sphere back in November. The combo of the Sphere visuals with the Eagles music, which we love, was absolutely incredible. We talked about going back to Vegas and seeing it again but haven’t done it. For you older Dawgs from my generation, don’t miss it. Aside from the Eagles, that was our second concert in the Sphere and it is an amazing experience regardless of who is playing.

Metallica is going to do a stint there, but I think it is only a handful of shows

We saw Dead and Company there about a year ago. For anyone interested in going, we always stay at the Venetian. It is connected to the Sphere and is about a 15 minute walk from the lobby. Excellent dining options there as well. Have stayed in several other hotels along the strip but the Venetian is our favorite.

I felt like they were a bunch of old men when they released Hell Freezes over. That was in 1994. Don Henley was 47. Now I want to go back in time and slap 17 year old me.
When I had my brush with greatness with Robert Plant just a few years ago, 12 year old me told him at the end to Kick Butt that night 😂

I should have been mortified but as I mentioned in that famous people thread that he’s the only musician I’ve ever been geeked out seeing, and the list of other musicians who I’d act similarly towards is in the low single digits

I saw them at the Sphere in Feb 2025 and again in September. Both great shows but I thought the music had slipped a bit.

We saw them at the Sphere last fall as well. I’m honestly afraid that seeing them at a regular venue would be disappointing. We’re going back to see Kenny Chesney this summer. I would have loved to see the remastered Wizard of Oz in The Sphere.

That’s kind of what I’m afraid of…

Paying too much for mediocre shows musically…

I’ve checked prices off and on for shows at the Sphere would disappoint me even though friends have raved about the visuals…

As of right now it’s just I think 8 or 10 shows and the tickets are insane. I would love to go but it’s too steep for me.

No Doubt is doing a residency there too and they sold out in hours. They’ve added another 10 shows to theirs already.

The pricing is, what did it for me. Not the age of the act.

It is far from mediocre. The stage is still full of elite musicians/guitar players and Don Henley’s B game is still better than most.

Finally looked… Atlanta and Nashville won’t work for me but Globe Life at Arlington could, and the price isn’t horrible either…

The big question is if can I get away, and I don’t know if I can. Those of y’all with elderly parents may understand…

Nobody mentioning that The Sphere appears to be coming to Nashville ? Sounds like a 6,000 seat version though.

Took my dad to see them in New Orleans (2017 or 2018 maybe). They were my dad’s favorite band. I always enjoyed them but the show exceeded my expectations. That show is approaching 10 years ago at this point but don Henley still sounded great, Joe Walsh could still play the guitar really good and Vince Gill is also an amazing guitar player (not sure if Vince is still playing with them or not).

The Nashville show may be too much but they are playing at Jazz fest this year, which is always a good time.

There is no other venue like the Sphere. Saw them last year. It was incredible

There was about a 10-year stretch in the 90s where Tupelo got as many top bills as anyone in the South. Eagles, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Tom Petty, Page/Plant, Rod Stewart, KISS, Black Crowes, ZZ Top, any top country act at the time, etc. And we’re talking early to mid-90s versions of the aforementioned. Not the burnt-out, elderly versions.

Saw them both times in Tupelo with HFO tour....front row tickets in '94 were 100 bucks. worth every single penny. Still sounded pitch perfect. They are definitely not as good nowadays, nor should they be in their 70's. Im not paying 100's of dollars for any concert ever again.

I've seen them twice in the sphere. It will be a letdown to see them anywhere else now.

They sound great with Deacon Frey and Vince Gill. Joe Walsh damn near died in January and now he's only doing a few songs and taking breaks in between.
