The ESPN Sunday Night Baseball crew absolutely ruins watching a game.

solely because of Jon Miller and Joe Morgan. Either one of them alone would be enough to mute the TV. Together, it's a horror show.

The main problem now is that John Miller doesn't know anything and Joe Morgan thinks that he knows everything. Steve Phillips is knowledgable, but they won't let him talk.

We get it, it was a weird play. Move on.

Sometimes, they merely annoy me, and occasionally they have good stories, but DAMN - I've been on mute since that slide.

In the last couple months, I've heard Miller brag about giving advice to both Nolan Ryan and Rickey Henderson? Bulllllllllllsh!t...

Not a rhetorical question: Does anyone like Joe Morgan? How does espn justify keeping him on their flagship baseball broadcast, other than he's done it for a long time?

P.S. I hear cards fans take it in their Pujols.

Yes , you are correct. They could replace Miller and Morgan with William Hung and Bob Saget and it would be an improvement.

Let the record show......If Saget and hung were homeless , I could , without regret , set fire to the cardboard box that they were sleeping in and feel nothing but the warmth from the flames.

but I absolutely hate Joe Morgan. Steve Phillips is a GM, who does have good points, but he's often snuffed out by the two elephants in the booth. I think the reason they put him there was to try to counteract some of Morgan's stupidity.

ESPN baseball started sucking when they got rid of Harold Reynolds. I still like Peter Gammons, he's awesome.

I love MLB Network. They have Bob Costas, and then they have some really good analysts, including HR, Mitch Williams is surprisingly good, to.

For ESPN to stop sucking, they need to hire someone like Bob Carpenter who does the Nationals, a pitcher like Rick Sutcliffe, and then a hitter like John Kruk, and let Gammons be the "sideline reporter" in one dugout along with Erin Andrews in the other dugout.

Adding Steve Phillips to the booth was idiotic. Not because he isn't good, I actually like him, but because he can't get a word in between the other two morons. It seems like Phillips goes 2 or 3 innings sometimes between even saying anything. I quit watching long ago. Its simply unbearable.

You cant be serious. Steve Phillips is one of the main reason I do not watch baseball on ESPN anymore. The guy is a complete clown. Luckily I have the Extra Innings package and MLB network has come along so ESPN has been compeltely put aside for baseball coverage

I.e., how much it costs and how many games they show in a given week, etc?

Doesn't cost extra on DirecTV. Not sure about Comcast.

They show live games on Thursday and Saturday. Plus, they will cut in to several live games each night during the studio show. Mitch Williams and Harold Reynolds are worth watching.

I have DirecTV, and it comes with it.

They have a game of the week on Thursday, but every night they have a show that basically shows bits and pieces of pretty much every game live while the games are going on, and the commentators comment on it. It's like Baseball Tonight on ESPN, but on steroids. When they go to a live game for an at-bat or two, it's the team's local broadcast, which is cool because you get to here people like Vin Scully.

They also have a lot of "classic games" that they replay, shows about the finer points of the game, documentaries, and etc.

Bob Costas does the Thursday game of the week with a random analyst like Harold Reynolds or Joe Magrane or whoever. I think that's a great idea. If one sucks more than the other, you don't have to listen to that duo for all eternity. Like Joe Morgan. And Costas is as good as it gets, so there's no need to rotate him.

The thing I really like about it as opposed to ESPN baseball, is that I think all of the teams get more equitable coverage. On ESPN, it's the Yankees, Red Sox, occasioanlly the Dodgers,Cubs, and Cardinals, and then everyone else.

...but everything is always blacked out. The channel description is MLB and it's on multiple channels... However, I just called my provider and they say they don't even carry the network. Very odd.
