I can't believe Jar Jar Binks is Kylo Ren. I found the movie overly-dramatic and slow. Was lucky enough to see a special screening with the theater manager.

Quality trolling. No theater manager would take that risk, as Disney told them if they got caught screening they wouldn't let them show it in theaters anymore.
It doesn't look very good to me at all. The two main characters might be the best part of it??? The rest looks like over done S.E.'s.

All I know is that the people standing in line for days in advance really need to reassess life.
If I would have to wait more then ten minutes to go see a movie I would come back for a different showing. I hate being in a theatre that's crowded. I will wait a week or two and then go see it
In actuality, people should quit worrying about what other people do with their lives
It's not really a comment that's up for debate. If people have the time to wait in line days on end to go to a movie, they have too much time on their hands, and should strongly consider volunteering their time to help other people, instead of wasting it sitting in front of a theater.
I'm just going to suggest that those of us who likely spend days on a Husker message board don't exactly have a lot of room to talk, here.
I don't know about you, but with the Pelini vs Riley exchanges, it's kept me from coming here more than just a few times a week for quite some time. Not to mention that I've never come close to spending 24 straight hours on this site, let alone multiple days in a row.
Anyway, you're right, people can do what they want with their time. But when we're talking people standing in line for multiple days in a row, that's disorder material.

I guess I am of the opinion that waiting in line for a movie is no more inane than spending time on the internet, talking to strangers about Husker football. Let me put some numbers to it. Let's say I spend 10 minutes a day on this site (a conservative estimate), each and every day of the year. Some days it's more time, some days, it's less or none. I'm guessing it all evens out. So, 10 minutes/day x 365 days per year = 3,650 minutes. Converted to hours, that is 60.83 hours spent on this site in any given year. Convert that to days, and you get about 2.5 days per year. So I have spent as much time on this site, or more, than anyone standing in line for that movie. To say that those people standing in line, talking to other Star Wars fans face to face about Star Wars stuff, need to reassess their lives seems a bit pious as I sit here behind a computer talking to 3 or 4 strangers with 20 different screen names about a mediocre football program.

On the movie, my son is going to an early screening tonight through the UNO Physics dept. It won't be at a theater and I believe starts late enough so that it will run into tomorrow so maybe that gets around the Disney thing?? I'll get a good/bad report from him but personally can't wait to see it.
Saw the first one (episode IV) at Indian Hills theater in 1977....nothing will ever replace that moment in Star Wars history for me as a 13 yr. old boy so I won't look at this as a disappointment in any way, just an extension of my childhood!

I also saw the original Star Wars at Indian Hills. That theater ruled. Saw Last of the Mohicans there as well, along with the animated and very underated "Heavy Metal". Taarna was a total babe. Not quite "Smokin hawt", since she wasn't real, but she was a babe and she did it. What's not to like?

I suppose you can put whatever definition on life that you want, but a life that is focused on self is a shallow life.
Very excited to see it....although it may not happen for another week or so. This is arguably the most anticipated film release of all time. I havee all of the confidence in the world in JJ. He nailed the Trek reboots and I am a pretty big Trek fan. It will be a bit more of a priority when my kids are old enough to be on board.
I also saw the original at Indian Hills. I was in eighth grade.
You may not remember since most of you are too young. the original Star Wars got some bad revues before it was released. then the viewers got hooked and came back over and over. The old Indian Hills theater showed it for over a year. I saw it at it's second showing at the old Cinema Center theater which at the time was the only theater showing it when it was first released.
