The games, crowd, etc have been great. Someone posted last week about black Helo's for pregame. If they had brought one in last night it would of been way, way, over the top. The band / halftime was great.

has changed at State games in 2 years. Someone said on BDJ that the cowbell rule has turned into a blessing now that we actually follow it. It's ridiculously loud forcing people to yell instead of ringing their cowbells. The music played is chosen at the right time.

Last night was the best atmosphere ever at a State game I have ever been to. I don't think people realize how different ringing a bell and yelling are but it's huge. And the music is awesome and gets the crowd going and the players feed off of that energy. Huge props to everyone involved in gameday because it has been awesome this year.

And they did an amazing job during the TO just before ark's third down right before halftime. They skipped playing a commercial and instead played music and used the crowd shots on the jumbotron to keep the crowd loud during the entire timeout. It was impressive. And awesome.

I thought the same thing too. I was told, though, that there is a flight ban over stadiums at night thesedays forsome reason

Especially enjoyed screaming all the lyrics to Welcome To The Jungle as the crowd clanged cowbells to the beat.

Flabloser were you tailgating at the ampitheatre???

The atmosphere was great especially how we go from ringing to yelling all together like clockwork.

Well I saw a short slightly heavy set guy with a shirt and then a pretty blond with one also... Just figured I would ask if it was you and your wife or something. The people I saw were next to the sidewalk but south of the ampitheatre stage u know up on the hill next to sidewalk.

FlabLoser always wears a shirt. Which shirt varies from game to game.

But I think you saw someone else.

this is the first time in my life that I can remember leaving a game that we lost thinking, "damn, that was fun!" Usually the loss over-powers everything else. This morning I had breakfast at Starkville Cafe and everyone was talking about how fun the game was. The crowd was amazing, the music was well done, the halftime show was even great. I hate losing as much as anyone, but for sheer entertainment purposes that game was the best I had ever been too.

Someone mentioned this below but I wanted to add that none of the blue hairs around me complained about the music or anything really and they were standing up and dancing with the rest of us. I think we have turned a corner where even the older folks realize that while it may not be their favorite song it's ok to enjoy the beat and join in with the craziness.

We can talk about intimidating the other team and all that other stuff but as long as the games are that fun to go to then I don't think we are going to have any problem getting people in the seats and making noise. We really, really need to go ahead and expand.
