Are you all 17ing blind? I saw it FIRST HAND! A group of security came down the field and tore down the goalpost after the game during all of the celebration. Those guys should be fired.

and said it would be uber-gay if you did, but never said you tore them down. The announcers on one channel said it, but I never did. Check the archive.

field seem to be filled with sand? I only saw a few minutes of the game, but it seemed that every time someone planted a foot, sand flew up?

I am not a landscaping type, so I am sure there is a logical reason.

"Idon't know if they actually tore them down or were taken down for safety reason, but every single poster on the sixpack is defending it, and saying there is nothing wrong with it."

Mind supplying us with some quotesfrom anyone (much less every single poster on the sixpack) "defending it"

that you have a long history of being a smug rebel homer. You have a few traits of a typical omspirit poster. This whole goal post thing has been an ongoing source of contention and you saw a chance to bring it back up again. Or maybe your mind was addled by some type of pain killer when you made the post and didn't think the posters here would react negatively. </p>

and saw them down, and heard some announcers mention it, that's it. Nothing more. It's hard to keep up with everything when there are five games on in one room.

And it wasn't painkillers. No prescriptions for those.

is that the announcers never said that. They said they were "tilted" down. Meanwhile, the actual game showed that endzone after the game at least 15 times, and it was obvious that there was no student, fan, or any of the such on the field after the game. <div>
</div><div>Heck, we tilted the goal post down after the memphis game. We probably will after the Alcorn game.</div>

Five games at one time, wow thats some serious concentration there. I do have to wonder why you were even trying to attempt this feat and not supporting your team with your presence in Oxford and impressing your fellow fans with that wonderful insight.

I guess it is a liability issue with a possible goalpost hitting someone. They tear them down immediately after the game is over if no one ever noticed. I guess they don't have that in Oxford or most people are drunk in the grove at the end of the game.
