The GOP couldn't repeal Obamacare

It would be better if it was Trump holding the football and the American people lining up to kick it. The people buying into Trump's talk and continually getting fooled is the theme.

I don't get the Republicans holding the football for Trump. Have the Republicans constantly been acting like they'll do Trumps bidding only to change their minds? Trump doesn't have a ton of GOP support. A lot of the Republicans were against Trump even during the campaign. Trump made his disdain for some in the GOP plain way back then too. There is an ongoing struggle for the heart of the GOP between the Trumpians and the traditional Republicans. The only way you're going to get a lot of legislation through the Senate with a lead of only 52-48 is if you're got a strongly united party and the GOP is anything but that these days.

Trump went up against something like 16 opponents in the GOP primaries and he made sport out of personally insulting lots of them, including some that are in Congress now and whose votes Trump needs. But the cartoon depicts them pulling the football away from Trump? Really?

Start paying attention please. Elections were won for years because of what was promised for years. Establishment politicians need to go down the drain and many very well may if the REAL referendum continues. MSN wont report it, but the war in D.C. is as much estab. vs anti-estab as it is R vs D. imo

As a senator he can buy insurance on DC's Obamacare exchange. Also, he's retired military, eligible for Medicare, TRICARE, and VA. Or maybe he's on his wife's policy through her company. What's your point?

I bet he gets the very best the VA offers if he so choses. My dad was a Korean War Vet and he got the best. I've wondered why he seemingly got better attention than Vietnam Vets. Is it a contractual thing depending on years of service, Popeer or others? Does America's collective appetite/reluctance for War figure in. Dad could go into any VA Hospital nationwide, present his ID and was being attended to in short order. Do you know how that works? I've been curious about that for a while.

My note to Caputo:

Swamp is just too massive to allow the necessary drainage. Swamp engulfs both parties and will not go away without assistance from some that are integral to that very 'swamp'. Can't let an outsider (non politician) show that the mess in DC can be reversed and corrected when the 'establishment' (swamp occupants) have thrived for decades on the mess they have helped craft. Sasd day for the USA. We have a President ready and willing to work hard for the American people and get things changed that so many have wished for, but the 'establishment' within both parties will not allow such progress to actually become such. Can't allow this outsider to show up the real politicians (who are so hell bent to retain their stronghold and do nothing to alter the mess that has developed for so long.

I only have to use the VA for my hearing aids and supplies, so I can't really answer your question, but my uneducated guess is that it depended more on the facility than his wartime service. I'm lucky enough to be close to the Washington VA Medical Center, which also has a satellite clinic at the hospital on Fort Belvoir, and I've always gotten good service -- none of the horror stories we hear from around the country. I think the one in Martinsburg has a pretty good record as well.
