I know folks that could whip Ali's ***. My wife's grandfather fought like hell for this country and lived his whole life with shrapnel stuck in him. He could whip Ali's *** with one hand tied behind his back. Book it.

with their names on a memorial a couple of blocks from my office. They went when the call came. They never returned.They never got the chance to turn 70.

Keep in mind that one guy fought until somebody got knocked down. The other fought until somebody died. Who would you rather face?

a draft dodger, then you must not know much about the man, or else don't care.

He was never a saint and may not be the created boxer ever but he has done more for the world than just evade the draft.

the early 1980's if it had been in effect. They'd have kicked me out, though... Asthma.

I now have a son in the Air Force and a daughter about to enter the Navy.My heart swells...
