If CJF has taught us anything, it's that it's ride or die with the current starting QB.

If they suffer 3 losses (a distinct possibility) it should be Grunk the rest of the way... but it won't be. It'll be Allar to the bitter end, no matter what happens.

Grunk is not a fit for Coach K’s offense, either. None of the QBs are nor is incoming Huhn. Thats what blows my mind. Hopefully McSorley will fix it! If ur committed to Coach K, get his type of player to run the offense. They are out there…

The Grunk era will be a continuation of the Allar era. Drop back QBs are the dinosaurs of college football.

The best team in college football right now, OSU, basically has a drop back qb, as does Miami, which may be the second best team in college football. The thing is to run an offense that suits a drop back qb's skills rather than running the hodgepodge of nothingness that PSU is running right now. Also, since 2021, the National Champions have been UGA twice, Michigan and OSU, and none of them had running qbs per se.

The offensive coaching and execution so far this season have been a disgrace. This team, which should've had an identity like Michigan had in 2023 (run first and wear the other team down), has no identity at all. Its passing routes are prehistoric (almost every pass is to the sideline and the receivers never have a chance to run after the catch), the running schemes aren't tailored to the makeup of the o-line (this o-line is made up mostly of huge, unathletic players and the staff is asking them to execute intricate blocking schemes which they just can't do), and the middle of the field is almost totally unused despite having tight ends who are mismatches. All of that is combined with a qb who just isn't playing up to standards and in truth is one of the worst starting qbs in the Big 10 right now.

This team needs to reduce its playbook and concentrate on running fewer plays much better rather than running numerous plays incompetently.

Franklin didn't pull a six year veteran in Clifford after the season was lost and a young Allar was next in line. Drew 's time will only be up when the season ends. The backups should be more interested in their lease for their apartment next season than starting at QB for PSU this season.

…Will start upon elimination from playoff contention - assuming after losing to Indiana.

Hopeful he will have ‘it’…

…Will need a coaching staff who can recruit kids that will not be pushed around.

It’s been a long time coming.
Waiting to see which 🤡 would be the first to ost this. You win the prize.

If you think Grunk is going to be any better, you're sorely mistaken and obviously missed some of the rumblings coming out of spring/fall camps - apparently he's a turnover machine. Our best bet is to see if Beau would be willing to transfer back for his last year of eligibility.

Regardless, with the amount of talent graduating + mediocre recruiting classes '23-'26, we are going to be pretty mediocre for the next 2-3 years. There is hope with the start of the '27 class, but nobody can convince me that class sticks and/or grows to be top 5-10.

They have zero interest in Beau. None.
Franklin didn't even want him around for the playoff or would have let him stay. It was his rule and his choice.

Or they can do what Texas Tech did this past off season and spend all of the cash that they're going to have from all of these underperforming vets leaving and buy players to fill a bunch of holes; Texas Tech went from also ran to top 10 in one off season. That's modern college football. There's no reason why PSU should ever have two or three medicore seasons in a row.
