if we don't start at least 5-2 making a bowl might be very close. Everyone seems to be counting OM out, but never underestimate the power of a home field under a new coach. They did that to us in 09 and we made them pay. That will be one of our toughest games I think.

the Auburn game is make or break but if we beat Auburn, the only other possible L on paper is TN.

If not, that's an upset game if I've ever seen one. You know A&M is going to be thinking about their SEC opener against Florida the next week in College Station.

They have LSU, at Auburn then we get them at home.<div>

if we capitalize on our schedule. Auburn plays Clemson the week before we play them, while we play Jsu. Alabama plays at Tenn the week before we play them while we play MTSU. Lsu has Alabama the week before we play them and Arkansas has South Carolina the week before we play them. Could set up nice for us. The only game that doesn't is the Tenn. game and they have a bye week before they play us. Either way, I like the way this schedule is set up for us.

the Bama game would do wonders for the teams confidence and momentum. Playing the defending NC with a perfect record intact. I could see us pulling an upset to move to 8-0. At that point look out. I love this years schedule.

I like it. If we're going to pay an opponent for a win, we might as well help out our own state.

about playing Troy at Troy...I know they're not as "good" as they were several years ago - but they always manage to at least compete with the tough teams on their schedule. I don't like the fact that that's an away game.

Man, I hope we do. History of life on the road in the SEC tells me otherwise though.

I would like to reserve the right to change my entire outlook on the season based on that game. If we find a way to finally beat their ***, it could build some very important momentum that we missed out on previously.

Looking at ours I see a brutal 4 game stretch that I bet nobody in the country can match. @ Alabama, A&M, @ LSU, and Arkansas. In 4 weeks we play the national champions, the runner up to the national champions, a probable top 10 team, and a probable ranked team. Ouch.

we have won there 3 straight times. But yes, life on the road is generally tough.

I'm predicting we lose to Auburn and start the year 6-1...but my heart is saying we finally get them this year. It could be a special year if we beat Auburn for sure. The key will be not slipping up against Tennessee if we Do beat Auburn and start out 5-0. A 7-0 start and it will get super interesting, because confidence and momentum could help spring an upset of an Alabama, LSU, or Arkansas....and if we start 7-0, I will feel very good about our chances against A&M and OM with a possibility of 9 wins in the regular season. Wow, that feels wooly as ****, but it actually seems very possible. Auburn will be the key to our season once again.

in that our odds of beating Arkansas in Starkville just increased significantly IMO with the ousting of Petrino.

and am I the only one glad that we are not automatically the bottom of the SEC west now, alphabetically? And Why the 17 does "O" come before "M"? just saying.

Realistically, 7 or 8 is what I see, but it could be maroon glasses. Our schedule is quite easy though.

You don't see Bama or Penn State using those numbers. No need to change a classic like #65. Whoever thinks those showy low numbers will affect recruiting must be under 40, gay, and half retarded.

Only Georgia and Kentucky have the same. We really should be able to make some noise with this schedule.

from looking at the East side. 4 of the 7 teams end their schedule with the last game against an ACC school. UF vs FSU, UGA vs GTech, USC vs Clemson, VU vs WFU. 17 new subscriber coverage, FSU would be a homerun addition to the SEC. The state of Florida has almost 20 million in population. I think the SEC should strongly consider adding FSU before the Big12 does. UNC would be fools to not come aboard as #16 if the SEC adds FSU. Sorry for potential hijack.
