Trying to remember my old usernames. It’s always been pbrme here. Gene’s was nogooddawg. Rivals, BDJ, and all others were a form of 4tdbundy or fourtdbundy.

I was originally the original threedawgnight on jeans. Joined the pack very early with the same user name before switching to Frances Drebin and eventually just Drebin.

I recall Gene emailing me and asking how I made the background image appear in my State web links hosted on my neighbors ra.msstate.edu sourced page, sometime in 93 I think. (.html tag. duh! lol)
Thanks to the wayback machine, I found said background. lol

Also, I had The Original Dawg House back in the dark ages. It was hosted on Netdoor after I lost access to ra. Nothing but every Mississippi State link I could find on the open web.

In those days, there wasnt much. Hell, ESPN didnt even have its own web site. All the sports content was on Starwave...

I remember back in the late 90s at the MSU Extravaganza in Jackson, Jackie Sherrill recommended GenesPage & my message board career started. I had taken my then young son to a movie & there was a cartoon before the movie with a character catdog who was half cat & half dog & they fought all the time. So I figured patdog would be my name. BTW, is my lifetime membership to Bulldog Junction still valid? I need a refund.

Maybe you can make a trade for some "free" lessons.

LOL...Biggerfeces was one of my favorite usernames.
VH never forgets but BiggerFeces was responsible for both 24 on English section of ACT and dumbass dubmass.

Had a separate troll account on an Ole Miss board at the time that I don’t remember the name of. All I remember was I acted like a pearl clutcher and claimed that when I was eating dinner at Newks that Coach O’s kids were loud and throwing straw wrappers at me a couple games into his first year. I complained, and he refused to do anything, saying “I can take care of my kids just like I took care of Memphis”

The first State boards I was on were the old Access Atlanta SEC message boards. Had one for each school back in the mid 90's. After that I found the Swan and like most folks I got banned not long before this place started.

There's a thread on the premium board and I did this off of memory. I remember the dumbest_shit.

1995 - Gene Swindoll started Genespage.
1998 - Gene started offering a premium membership for $30/year.
2001 - Genespage moved to The Insiders network and used ezboard software as its message board software.
2002 - MSU Rivals (BulldogBlitz) was being ran by Andy Kalinowski (sp??) and Rob Haralson.
2003 - SixPackSpeak was started using ezboard software to combat being banned on Genespage all the time.
2007?? - Insiders moves to Scout.com
2008?? - BulldawgJunction.com is formed with Michael Wardlaw and Paul Jones as an independent site
2010?? - lifetime Membership is offered by BulldawgJunction for $120 or something like that
2011 - BulldawgJunction moves to Rivals and lifetime membership is now being questioned
2012 - Paul Jones moves to a new network called 247sports
2012 - SixPackSpeak almost moves to 247sports as well but decides to remain independent and move from Yuku forum software to vbulletin
2013 - BulldawgJunction.com implodes and State has not had a Rivals presence since
2017 - 247sports merges with Scout and thus Bulldawgs247 and Genespage merge
October 2022 - SixPackSpeak moves to On3
October 2023 - Paul Jones moves to On3
January 2024 - Robbie Faulk moves to On3
Wardlaw still owes me a MSU polo- a promo he was doing to get subscribers the first week or so… lol

can someone fill me in on when and how ED got started? Was there a beef or something on here and a faction moved? I have no clue and was curious why there seems to be SP vs ED thing going on besides the obvious business competition aspect.
I started getting on State message boards around 2012/2013

Started in 2013 I think. They wanted an MSU fans only message board. I've always been of the opinion to let anyone from another school post as long as they are respectful and aren't complete idiots.

I've been reading and posting on various MSU boards since around 1996 or so. I think I started on Genespage but don't recall my username over there. I joined the sixpack a couple of weeks after it started. I don't think I've read genespage in at least 20 years.

I was reading since about 03-04. Not sure when I joined but actively posted in 06. Can’t remember the original username but it was something to do with Anthony Dixon.

What year was it when we were blessed with C34 leaving and starting a new board?

Coach 34 was truly pathetic. he's more positive now . I guess after the near death issue. Irish ( dawgstudent boy. As I understand it ) Really makes this place hard to tune into during every sport season.

To add a few:
  • Dawgnews listserv @msstate.edu circa 1993 (maybe 1992). Gene asked us to "test" his new web page. Little did we know the hell that would be unleashed . . . We also had former DL Eric Dotson on there and a few opposing fans. Great times.
  • Also, the Bulldogs-Only Message Board (B.O.M.B.) started back in 1995. Most famous poster on there? Future Gov. Tate Reeves.
Good times back then!!

Man, that'll make you feel old. My first job out of college was in '99 with a startup in Mobile, AL. It turned out to be a great job, but for the first probably 4-5 months I did absolutely nothing while the owner got things up and running. I would sit at my computer for 8 hours hitting refresh on Genespage. Brutal...

I don't think that I ever signed up for premium Gene's at that time, but not 100%. I'm pretty sure that my first subscrition to Gene's was after he moved to Scout. I signed up as a premium member of Rivals starting in probably 2002 or maybe 2003. That is where I heard about sixpack. I wasn't on Gene's then either and didn't know of the events that led to the creation of this board until reading about them here. What ever happened to Rob Harrelson, I wonder?
Rob is doing well. He has 2 children, one just graduated high school. He’s married to the infamous Lady Dawg ;). He’s glad to be out of the recruiting business and happy to focus on his family. He says hello.

We both have fond memories of the beginnings of the message board era. So, long time no see, so What’s Up Yall?!

I'm pretty sure I have some screenshots from the BOMB when SixPack first started. The stuff they were saying on there was pretty good. I'll have to find them and post them here sometime this summer.
