The impending youtube war has some folks pretty uneasy

I've been surprised to see some obviously older State people getting nervous about what olemiss people will stoop to in retaliation for our retaliation. Maybe it is some form of LT disease that still lingers that causes you to bend over and ask for more. Maybe they were asleep ten years ago when we went through this. I don't think any State people really want to go this route, but what other choice is there unless we want to be torn down again. There are ugly rumors about Freeze that I still haven't seen posted on a public message board and if they were, MSU folks haven't picked it up and run with it. You can't say that about olemiss and Mullen though. Hell, they made up the damn rumors and their coach ran with it. We may have it right this time in showing olemiss that if they want to go this route, then we will burn the whole 17'ing thing to the ground. If we burn, they burn too.

The LT disease is VERY alive and previlant. I wished I knew some of those stories you were talking about regarding Freeze.

have not been substantiated. I think they're true and he even alluded to them in a recent interview about this years recruiting class by admitting he's made some mistakes in the past, but these types of things are better left unsaid. It would hurt his family and kids and I hope we're above spreading unsubstantiated rumors that could be that hurtful to a family. However, if they continue to rip our head coach and our program, those rumors will be the next thing that's blasted to the moon. Just like Channing Ward's recruitment. There's not a person in Aberdeen that doesn't know who was doing what, but some things are best left alone. I can say without hesitation though, if they start slinging mud, the plantation will burn like an oil field catching fire.

Let's get back to playing sports and leave all this garbage alone. Let the others sink to the bottom as low as they want to go. Yeah, I'm one of the old farts.

This is what we should have done 10 years ago. When they turned us in to the NCAA, we should have turned them in. To this day, I am shocked that we didn't. I think even threatening to do it would have saved us a lot of grief.

And if they retaliate, we retaliate.

To those people, I will say this- if I go up to one of them and punch them in the nose because "I don't like them" or whatever- would they just stand there and take it and hope that it passes? Or would they punch me back in my nose? I would hope the answer is that they would punch me back.

excited and proud. They are glad to see us punch them in the nose.

The video was a warning shot as much as anything I believe. They need to make sure they understand this time will be different if they start their BS.

this crap and encouraging it. Therefore we must assume that the folks doing this have no one in charge giving them orders so to think we can somehow control it on either side is<div>a little naive. Its time to put it to and end on both sides and move on, I agree we should not roll over like we did with the Zena and Jackie episode and I don't think we will but this really could</div><div>end poorly for both Universities.</div>

which, in actuality, probably contributes more to my Ole Miss boredom than the videos do. They absolutely have nothing on us. OK, so they beat us in basketball. It happens. But athletically, they have nothing and we've got it all right now. Although Eli winning a Super Bowl is a big plus for them and if I was their AD I'd have the red carpet rolled out and really push the Eli stuff on campus and in marketing. <div>
</div><div>I just laugh at Rebelbruiser, Oxpatch and the rest of the goof troop now. I'm guessing that makes dawgstudent happy that I'm not actively engaging them like I used to. But I will say, the OM video by TX Muddawg was like a roundhouse to the face.</div>

Why that worthless piece of **** was ever given the job as AD at State, I'll never know. EPIC FAIL. It sickens me that a building on our campus bears that bastards name.

Nothing's going to happen. It's not like any of the these videos are uncovering anything we don't already know. <div>
</div><div>Although I wouldn't put it past some their real psycho fans to go following our players around with their camera phones in bars and such.</div>

Eli wouldn't have gone to Ole Miss unless they specifically hired David Cutcliffe. Just like Peyton didn't go to Ole Miss. Just like Eli would have skipped a year in the draft because he was not going to play for the Chargers no matter what. And of course, while at Ole Miss, Eli still played in ZERO SEC Championship games. Ole Miss didn't make Eli, but they will try to spin it that way. You know, kinda like Michael Oher didn't know **** about football until Sandra Bullock taught him how to play.

Alot of the guys they are recruiting probably don't. Look I'm not fooled by their tactics but I also would use it if I was in their situation. At the end of the day, an Ole Miss alum won the Super Bowl. Yes, it does kind of make them look bad since he never won anything for them. But most people just see "Super Bowl MVP".

A situation like this...it's a bunch of worry about nothing.

I think they realize now they better be careful or their glass house will shatter

I heard of a guy that wondered into one of those orifices, he claims he ran into two O linemen, a bus full of midget wrestlers and an NCAA investigator. <div>

10 years ago. You think they would have wanted Eli to have spent his career on a team that was on probation? I don't- and they wouldn't have wanted to take the chance.

God I hate LT.

Because Eli was royalty. And it's hard for the commoners to see themselves as royalty. I honestly think that had BJGE been the MVP and it went the other way that would be a huge marketing success. A regular guy comes to Ole Miss and makes it big. With the Manning's the story is too well known. You know he would have been successful no matter where he went, it wasn't something Ole Miss did. Not saying I wouldn't market it, just saying I think BJGE's story is easier to relate to.

It obviously hadn't helped them get a QB to Oxford since then for sure.<div>
</div><div>But anything that can associate your school with Super Bowls and success in general is good IMO. That's why I think one of the biggest mistakes MSU baseball made in the last decade (besides bringing Polk back) was turning their backs on John Grisham.</div>

Think about if you saw a derogatory Oregon State video. It would give you a bad taste regarding the whole state of Oregon. The national media cannot even differentiate Ole Miss and Mississippi State on a consistent basis. These video wars help all of our SEC rivals. They are not positive and make the whole state look bad. This is small minded Mississippi thought process. <div id="isChromeWebToolbarDiv" style="display:none"></div>

And that is Mississippi apparently had immunity from the NCAA while they were burning our program to the ground. The NCAA's hard-on for JWS ensured a blind eye was turned to Mississippi just to ensure they took down JWS. While they were investigating us, Mississippi had the Goldie scandal and several other incidents occur. Everyone one of which was a violation much worse than anything the NCAA eventually put us on probation for doing. Even if LT had the spine to turn in the Bears, the NCAA wouldn't have done a damn thing about it.
