Ghana could eliminate the USMNT for the third straight World Cup - even though the US finally beat them on the pitch.

I equate hiring Jurgen Klinsmann as Manager to hiring Herb Brooks as U.S. Hockey

coach in 1979. Klinsmann isn't trying to get the best American players to play for the U.S., but the best possible U.S. team to compete. We were one minute from being 2-0 against teams that owned us in the past. I believe we'll compete against the Huns, maybe even pulling out a tie.

Or just beat Portugal by 1 and Germany beat us by 2+ which is entirely plausible.

There are more scenarios that see us advance than don't. However, the more likely scenarios see us eliminated, like the one you outline.

Any draw will do nicely.

This World Cup has taught me to expect the unexpected.

Going in, I thought we would have 1 point at this stage, and maybe none. I just thought we got screwed with a really tough group. Instead we have 4 points.

No one thought Spain would be so terrible or that Costa Rica would win the other group of death. Heck, Algeria and Iran have legit shots of getting to the knockout round. And the two favorites, Brazil and Argentia, are looking incredibly average so far.

Not advancing would be devastating after the end of today's game. Please let one of the two games end in a draw.

Ronaldo will finally break his duck and probably score more than one goal against Ghana.

I think Portugal takes care of business for us and takes at least a point from Ghana.
