Sorry but I'm not in the posting preseason rankings. So there will be no ranking here for me. I do like the team that Louisa will field and 2017. I do feel the Jefferson district will be better this year stronger and more equal cross the board. But I think the team that will be surprising the most of the JD fans Will be the Charlottesville Black Knights. But as always I welcome anyone to come to "THE JUNGLE" on a Friday night in Mineral Virginia . Sidenote congratulations to 11-year-old and under Little league baseball All Star Team Birginia State Champions! Now it is time for High School Football Good luck to all in may everyone stay healthy this year.

Didn't Orange lose both of their RB's? Are they expected to be competitive this year? It seemed as if the RB's were their whole offense. I saw their QB early in the year and he could move around well, but I don't know what he has to work with now...or if he was a senior or not.

Orange has steadily improved, bit the district is still down.

Snooka, you keep it real with us when we get into our homer ways but I truly believe this year will be the best the JD has been in a long time. Will we produce an elite team that makes a deep playoff run? That's the question that'll we've got to answer to get some respect from the rest of the state.
The district was very young last year IMO. 7 of 8 teams return their starting QB. Powhatan and Albemarle lost the most but Powhatan's JV went unbeaten so I'd bet the Indians won't fall off much if any. Albemarle being the biggest school loses the most every year but they just reload. Having the districts most elusive player in Anderson makes them a threat. Some people are high on us but I'm like you, we won 7 games last year which doesn't make you elite. We've got plenty to prove before we can be mentioned as a state top 10 type team.
What's the word on the Flucos this fall? They were much better last year than the year before and their JV looked to have some size and a few capable skill guys. Get any transfers or lose anybody?

We will not be good until our AD is out in my opinion an I will leave it at that. The teams that really have the best chance in my opinion to make a run are the 3a teams. 4a and 5a teams are just not going to get it done outside the district. I am not saying a 3a team will make a run this year but the level of play is dramatically different when you go up levels because of the depth.
