I think if you call a straight steal in that situation, you have to send runner from 3rd as soon as the throw comes out. That has to be part of the steal call. Otherwise it’s an idiotic decision with only 1 out.

Love Parker, but you can’t let a freshmen in this game and in that spot call his own number on a steal attempt against that catcher. Sending the runner from 3rd at ball release from the catcher is the only way it’s not an absolutely awful decision by someone.
