The lack of a passing game cripples the offense

The problem I have with him is that other than fumble he doesn't really bring anything to the offense. He's not a good runner. He can't make simple throws. The offense has been built around taking the ball out of his hand. That is not a recipe for success.

Love Johnson but he struggles with his throws.
That's right, so true, you have to be able to throw the ball more than we are doing to win these kind of games. I would say what the op said, they must not have the confidence to do it.

We win that game if Badet doesn't literally hand the ball to the UGA DB. That's not on Johnson or Stoops or Gran or anyone else. We did more than enough to win the game, but when it came down to it the wideouts didn't execute.

Simply inaccurate. We still lead following that play and we had multiple chances to make it up. It's like saying Chubb's multiple fumbles cost them a blowout. Not true.

Drops, turnovers and penalties are whats killing our offense. When you're a primary running team, getting behind the chains kills you. There were multiple drops tonight that WRs could have easily made the catch and didn't. While Johnson isn't the best QB in the world or the most accurate, but you can't put the Johnson fumble or the Badet dropped TD that ended up an INT on him. He made the throws he needed to make tonight and the WRs let him down. That's just my humble opinion on the matter.

To be fair to the receivers Johnson throws difficult passes. Accuracy matters.

Never said they were perfect, but if the ball hits you in the hands then its your job to bring it in. Granted he seems to always throw it over and behind Conrads head every time though.

1. The WR core played like *** today and is the #1 reason we lost by a mile. Badet TD to int was bad, Juice fumbling when we need to just go down in middle of field, Baker with his usual 1 drop a game and Juice had another pass he short armed a bit.
2. I'd argue our OLB had a terrible game as well. Ware and Allen did nothing all night vs. a UGA OL that was giving up sacks/pressures all year long. Why we generated no pressure the entire game was a problem especially when it's UGA biggest weakness.

If SJ had the time UGA QB had he would look like Montana...game comes down that our receivers made critical errors and we cannot generate a pass rush with our front four. It is so disheartening watching our dline run in place

Can SJ not throw a simple screen pass? Boom is built for that type of play, yet it's not even in our arsenal. Is it the OL? can't execute? I'm bumfuzzled.

Disagree about SJ, it is obvious, especially to the coaches, his intermediary game is lacking quite a bit.

Shows great demeanor under pressure and throws a very nice deep ball but the intermediary game is what wins because this is where you convert 3rd downs and redzone TD's.
