That's right, so true, you have to be able to throw the ball more than we are doing to win these kind of games. I would say what the op said, they must not have the confidence to do it.Love Johnson but he struggles with his throws.
We win that game if Badet doesn't literally hand the ball to the UGA DB. That's not on Johnson or Stoops or Gran or anyone else. We did more than enough to win the game, but when it came down to it the wideouts didn't execute.
Drops, turnovers and penalties are whats killing our offense. When you're a primary running team, getting behind the chains kills you. There were multiple drops tonight that WRs could have easily made the catch and didn't. While Johnson isn't the best QB in the world or the most accurate, but you can't put the Johnson fumble or the Badet dropped TD that ended up an INT on him. He made the throws he needed to make tonight and the WRs let him down. That's just my humble opinion on the matter.
To be fair to the receivers Johnson throws difficult passes. Accuracy matters.

All those passes that were dropped were excellent passes and on the receivers. To be fair to the receivers Johnson throws difficult passes. Accuracy matters.
It's the single biggest reason we did NOT win the game last night! Absolutely ridiculous how awful this passing offense is! Embarassing really...Love Johnson but he struggles with his throws.
If SJ had the time UGA QB had he would look like Montana...game comes down that our receivers made critical errors and we cannot generate a pass rush with our front four. It is so disheartening watching our dline run in place
