The last 2 BB games for MSU have been incredibly painful statistically....

in looking at the last 10 minutes of the second half, the part that most would consider the most crucial of the game.

Against Arkansas from the 9:39 mark of the 2nd half to the 0:00 mark we had ZERO FGs.

Against Auburn from the 9:46 mark of the 2nd half to the 0:19 mark we had ONE FG (4:21 mark).

And I would note the one FG against Auburn probably shouldn't even be counted because it was immediately negated by 2 technical foul shots at the Auburn end with no time coming off the clock plus Auburn maintained possession. That is just incredible statistically and just shows we only won the Arkansas game because of their total offensive ineptitude toward the end of the game. A few free throws along the way in both games was the only scoring we had during those stretches. Just amazing that we would have 2 games in a row that bad offensively at the end of the game. I guess just attribute it to the wonder that is the Stansbury Stall.

The 19 point loss to Auburn was just another loss due to the lack of
coaching by Stansbury. He does the same thing every year, the team
builds a
big lead in the second half and loses the game. When you are running
up and down the floor and pushing the ball in transition offense, you
can't just slow that down and expect to win the game. Rick does this
every year, the "Classic Stans Stall", he tries to slow down the temp
of the game. If you are up by 19 by running, why slow down? Why not
keep pushing the tempo and win by 30 or 40? It's like Stands has no
clue on the offensive end of the floor besides to Live and die by the 3 ball.....

We are either behind the entire time which is miserable. Or we are way ahead with 9 minutes to go and are miserable then too because we know the damn stall is coming to put the brakes on things.

We would be noworse than 15-9 overalland 7-3 in the SEC if not for Rick's stubborn insistance on running clock when we get a lead.

it would be like playing right at an entire half of basketball and making one stinking FG. When this particular team tries to play slow down ball they totally lose their shooting rhythm and frequently turn the ball over in the half court offense just trying to run clock if any pressure is applied from the opposing team.

more like maybe the 3 or 4 minute mark but NOT at the 9 minute mark when you have the 3 point shot and a 35 second shot clock involved. Its just ridiculous to start trying to slow down at that point.
