They finished 24-12 and in 8th place in the SEC. Let's not re-write history and act like last year was some major success.
I guess if you choose to look at it with that kind of mindset, sure, cool, have at it.
But didn't that team beat more top 25 teams than anyobe in the history of the sport?
I refuse to allow the injury excuse this year, but last year, I think it's fair to talk about it. That team was injured all year long, key guys too.
They swept Tennesee, beat 2 FF teams and beat the eventual national title winners.
I'm willing to give Pope his flowers for last year, there's no need to rub his nose that deep in dog poop, he did a lont of good things last year.
However, this year, is a disaster and I think we can all agree this was a concern of ours, both when Pope was first hired and after we got to know how really, really corny and overly positive he is.
But again, he deserves credit for what he did last year.
