I've had the thought that his commitment might come on the big overhead screen during Madness
Joe Adams and Rupp2NoGood said Stokes was a done deal on their X Spaces earlier.
Dude it's not legal I don't say anything crazy I say educated thoughts,Coach Pope is not aloud to comment on a recruit until he signs,maybe it's legal,but UK can't comment on Stokes till he signs in November
They wouldn't have to, what I would love to happen is the camera shows the recruits that's there and Stokes unzips his hoodie revealing a shirt saying he's committed.

Today is almost gone. Hope he pulls the trigger soon! Trying not to be a Debbie downer but for some reason feels like a lot of smoke and no fire. I’d at least like to see him announce a commitment date or something for some confidence.
I’m thinking he may announce at BBM. So much smoke and his birthday is Sunday. I think that may be one of the days he does it. As long as he is a CAT I’m happy.

This. Its also very probable Nike will have some say in the matter. If so, UK is not the top runner.
If we match whatever Oregon offers, maybe that will be enough. Its going to be an expensive venture.

The owner of Nike is one of the richest people in the world, is an Oregon alum and booster. That said, the kid stays over here if he's smart, unless the difference in money is pretty huge. Just my opinion but, the difference in value of east vs west is worth a lot...maybe even double, due to exposure alone. If Cooper Flagg went out west, half the country wouldn't know who he is and would be asleep before watching him play most of their games.
Not talking NBA contracts, but NIL value, based supposedly on marketing(NIL)value.

Good point. Rivals has us getting Stokes and that's about it. No one in the top 60 are favored except Stokes and they have UL at a higher % than UK.
Rivals says we aren't getting Holt, Thompson or Diane. Someone else they don't consider these predictions very reliable. I hope not!
I’m hopeful. Under Cal at least we almost never got commits during Madness and I almost never see them for other schools during their events. There were 1 or 2 for us but not many but I see that hope almost every year that someone may commit during it, maybe this is the year.
It would definitely add some hype to the event, especially with him being number one.
How did all these crystal balls come in for Stokes and then you haven’t heard a peep from anybody? I’m hoping it has been a done deal and they have been working out a way to make a big announcement. Hopefully Stokes and Pope have it silent on purpose and he isn’t considering Kansas or something.
I think if he commits it’ll be on his birthday tomorrow. Just a guess, but this kind of where the media is to blame because they hinted at a commitment possibly yesterday or today or tomorrow and then fans get dead set on expecting one.
I don't really consider 2 picks, one at 40% and the other 60%, to be "all these crystal balls". I guess I'm just not going to get my hopes up on such a thin certainty. Recruiting is just a crap shoot. Hope we get him but not going to believe it until it happens.
I was the same one saying I don’t trust crystal balls but at the same time I thought most everyone had him to UK 100% but obviously I was wrong.
Still stuck with the crystal balls lol. If he don’t say anything tomorrow either commitment or a date I’m gonna get a little bit worried. I let yall on here get me a little excited and I knew better lol.
