It was a great play for sure. I just hate that we got down huge yet again to a bad team. We have played stinkers against plenty of bad teams over the years but it’s every game with this team. Still happy for a W. Happy for Moreno, kid is coming up huge.

The part that matters, foxy. Is that we won. We can’t even be happy anymore man. I love this community but I’m afraid my hope in the fanbase is wearing thin.
I would say only a VERY small percentage of our fans feel any better about this team or coach after this game. The excitement of winning a game doesn't change the fact that it took a miracle to beat a terrible team. But the way we won is exciting, so might as well enjoy it.
If you aren’t excited when your team wins like that and after an 18 point comeback then why be a fan at all? It’s irrelevant who we are playing or how bad we played if you are a fan and can’t cheer for a buzzer beater then you have no reason to ever cheer.

I don’t understand why we can’t put Moreno and his 7’0 frame on the block to start games, run some action on the block and free up the lane. I do like seeing Jelly get some time but the lack of coaching in the first half was disappointing. I’ll always celebrate a win and be happy for them all but this product is not up to uk standards. The movement with purpose in the 2nd half and actually screening for a reason was nice to see, but if we come out too cool for school Saturday then we will get boat raced.

A week or two on KSR they were listing some crazy stats of the Pope era. One that stuck out was that we have been down 20+ in 8 or 9 games in just a year and a half.
I’m nearly to the point of not being a fan at all. Between Cal’s last five years, the disaster that is Mark Pope, the current climate of college athletics, and the cringe portion of the UK fanbase - it makes sense to just stop paying attention. For the record, I live overseas and haven’t watched a live game for some time. But yeah, seems UK basketball is a waste of time, as is jumping on this board. Life is short and there are much more enjoyable ways to spend it.
