Oklahoma I will give you, Woody. You may want to compare what both TT and WVU did against the conference's big four, who are our only common opponents so far: TT v. TCU = 52 points, 84 plays, 607 yards, 7.23 yards/play WVU @ TCU = 10 pts, 76 plays, 327 yds, 4.30 yds/play TT v. Baylor (in Arlington) = 35 pts, 89 plays, 636 yds, 7.15 yds/play WVU @ Baylor = 38 pts, 83 plays, 471 yds, 5.67 yds/play TT @ Oklahoma = 27 pts, 85 plays, 425 yds, 5.00 yds/play WVU @ Oklahoma = 24 pts, 85 plays, 369 yds, 4.34 yds/play TT v. Oklahoma St = 53 pts, 94 plays, 642 yds, 6.83 yds/play WVU v. Oklahoma St = 26 pts, 98 plays, 443 yds, 4.52 yds/play Texas Tech has been held under 576 yards just twice in 9 games, by Arkansas and Oklahoma. The 27 points the Red Raiders scored against the Sooners is their only time under 30 so far. Conversely, WVU has exceeded 576 yards just once, against Maryland. More alarmingly, in 3 of our 4 conference games we've been held under 27 points which is TT's lowest point total of the year. WVU is still winless all-time (0-11) in Big 12 games when scoring under 30 points, so Holgorsen needs to find a way to get it up cranked up again in a hurry unless we somehow come up with the defensive performance of the year. I don't know what I find more disturbing--the fact that we're only 11-9 in conference games when we do score 30+...or the fact that we've been held under 30 points more than 1/3 of the time in such a defense-optional league.
