with one scheduling move, he gets us the needed PR in case Croom is fired at the end of this season. Being the first SEC school in Mississippi to host a HBC would help silence those saying that Croom was fired due to racism. Granted his record would speak for itself, I feel that it is still a great move. Plus, we get to host JSU a team that will bring more fans than most other out of conference team that we could schedule. It's a game that should be won easily. It provides us 7 home games during a season where only six were scheduled. There is no down side here, unless we get beat. And if we get beat at home to JSU, then we deserve the ridicule.

There would be a press conference called and he would claim that it took years of planning and that he has worked so damn hard to put that together.

Byrne just acted like it business as usual and that it was his job. This new blood in the Athletic office is working out real well. Look what MSU has been missing all these years... a guy at the top with some initiative and work ethic.
