According to an insider, who spoke with someone that has knows the contents of the report, there wasnt a fire-able offense committed by Vic, nothing warranted him leaving. That said, you are correct, even if he was completely innocent, it absolutely would have been a liability in the recruiting game. My hope is KM transfers, it seems he'll join his buddy PItts soon, cause at this point he's just a distraction & a splinter in the fanbase. Its extremely disappointing all around, cause many of us would have done all we could to support KM throughout his life, and we all loved Vic and his brutal honesty(not aligned with GenZ), which was somewhat hilarious at times. Bottom line, if you are emotionally traumatized cause someone said "retard" after a boneheaded mistake, you are not mature enough to be in a professional environment, and thats what I think Brown is building & instilling in Morgantown. When Vic was hired, everyone praised him for saying "We will be the builders of men, on & off the field, to be mentors, and teach them how to be successful in life, to teach & love them hard as a family member would". Well when you treat someone like family, you have tough conversations, you talk about many different things aside from football. Vic was doing what he said he would, and from KM's twitter PM's to me, he was obviously getting emotionally caught up with certain indoctrinations. I would never trust someones state of mind who says " Its ok to riot & loot, because Europeans stole land from the Indians". That was an actual message to me, which caught me by surprise, as I thought he was a level headed type, which is why I offered him a position with my company if he pursued certain degrees. I was hit hard by it all, because I had somewhat consistent stream of conversation with KM once he committed, its almost like being betrayed, difficult to explain or put into words really. All that aside, I think we have two really good position coaches in Jahmile & Lesley, I hope we can hold onto them both. If we add someone, maybe we can get Blake Seilers back since his wife is from close by, and move Cansteel back as an analyst. I would promote all three to Co-DC, they all deserve a decent raise as well. Not sure that would happen, but having Jahmile, Lesley, & Seilers would be a great def staff.
