Is that Dan is getting it done this year with players on offense who are really below avg for the SEC, and I'm being nice when I say that. Don't get me wrong; the guys are playing with everything they have and have obviously busted their asses to get to where they are. But we're really down the line when it actually comes to athletic talent on the offensive side of the ball.
Our skill positions are lacking in every spot. And I know Ballard has been producing; Bumphis makes a play or two a game. Ralph makes some nice runs every game and a couple of great throws when you least expect them. Perkins stepped up when he got his chance, etc., etc. But if you look around the conference and look at the top talent, none of our guys can be put in that group. Again, we keep on winning. That's the beauty of it.
I will be indebted to these guys for giving me an enjoyable season, but I'm really excited to see what can be done whenDan gets some really talented skill players on the field.
Another thought while watching the game tonight....I believe we are redshirting 22 players this year. When you add the 25 that will sign in Feb, going into next season we will have 47 players on scholarship that will be true or redshirt freshmens. The future looks pretty darn good.
