"Guys, I'm not worried about what's happening four years from now," he continued. "I'm going to let somebody else worry about that if that needs to be."

Croom, it's your job to worry about what's happening 4 years from now!! It's called Running a Program. If you're not worried about the future, then who is.

I'm worried about winning a game today. And burning a redshirt? Hey, all I want to do is win today."

Did that one carry for 2 yards help us win the game?

We're going to play him next week, we're going to play him the week after that, and what happens four or five years from now, I'm not concerned about."

Obviously you don't care about Arceto's Clark's future either. And by the way, Saban didn't tell you to take a redshirt off 8 games into the season so stop quoting him.

Croom has stripped Clark of a year of eligibilty and he has stripped any shed of hope I had that he knows how to run a college football program.

It's obvious Crxxm doesn't give a **** about what our offense does NOW. Why would we ever expect that to somehow change in 2012?

that guy has become a classic old school State follower. And after he says that everyone is overreacting to the decision and that its not a big deal, he devotes his entire overly-verbose column to it.

Man, being a part of Swan Lake has really changed him. I couldn't believe that he said that most of the negative fans on their boards are those that didn't start following the program until the 90s. He actually used the "we've sucked for a long time and those of you 30 and younger are spoiled" excuse. When I worked in Media Relations just 5 short years ago he was the anti-Gene. Now he just touts the party line. Unbelievable.

that Pegues will be picked up in the NFL as a kick returner. If running straight into the wedge earns you a roster spot, then I am totally shocked.

the opinions he shares are him adhering to company policy not his real beliefs.

and I think he has a much better shot making it as a free safety or nickel corner than as a return man. He is just not fast or shifty enough.

What I don't agree with is waiting 8 games to do it.

At MSU, we need to win now and not worry about stocking up for being something special 4 years from now. If we win now, recruiting gets enough of a lift to more than offset having some good player for one more year later on.

of players we've cost serious cash/NFL careers. I wonder if guys like him regret coming to MState. I know Tony Burks and Co-Eric Riley have to regret it. Hopefully DP can get back into the first round with a solid last 4 games and good combine.

and could improve his likely 3rd round pick to high 2nd round if he performs well at the combine.

He has the athleticism and experience, and he likes to hit and is flexible to play in a number of positions.

If Dockery can make it in the NFL.....
