The Masters is my favorite sporting event to watch. Period.

This year the winner's last name will begin with "S"... for sure.

Spieth just hasn't played well this year. I mean he has had some very average rounds...very un-Spieth like. Would love to see him play like he did last year. I agree with the above poster who mentioned Thomas, that you guy is gonna be among the top with a little more experience on the tour.
I wouldn't mind seeing Keegan Bradley get hot and contend. Love his energy and passion.

Direct TV does a mutli Masters channel every year. Worship it. Can watch all the Amen Corner holes on a different channel, follow the group of the day, or watch the regular tv broadcast being shown. There is like 5 different maybe 6 channels to chose from.

I almost kept DirecTV just for the extra coverage you get of the majors.

Awesome, nothing like firing the ol laptop up, sitting up the TV Tray, and enjoying the Masters on a 17" screen!
Save your golf complaining for Davis Love and the Ryder Cup when he blows another Cup away this year. Thanks.

A Tradition Unlike Any Other:

Checking Masters.com or the Masters App for scoring updates until 4:00pm when those stuffy blowhards let you watch for 2 hours a night!

Can't wait!

Coverage is better now than when CBS came on at 2 on Saturday and Sunday back in the day. Back 9 was all you got. Be happy you young whippersnappers.

Very true. And what great TV it was and still is. Regular tour stops are almost unwatchable, even to PGA such as I, because of commercials every 7 minutes. Not with The Masters. Limited ads and sponsors. Piss breaks must be quick.

Nick Faldo running down Greg Norman at the Masters is the greatest sporting event I have ever watched. That was Shakespearean tragedy at its finest.

Read an article about that yesterday, it was talking about sports science and the art of the meltdown. Really good article.

Yeah, I was watching last year on 1080p HD and couldn't even see the ball or azaleas. Thought DJ was Craig Stadler lol. Looking forward to it.

You weren't watching on 1080p. It was 1080i or 720p. 4K is a massive difference, and you'll be upgrading to it eventually. I know this because, (a) you always do this, and (b) you aren't still using an old CRT tv.

Get--------------->pumped.

Also give me Day. Been playing great lately and I really like his approach to the game. Maybe Tiger will caddie for him.

-Best tournament of the year. Can't wait. [banana]

-One of my buddies is good friends with Justin Thomas. He's heading down there next week and staying with JT in the house he rented for the week, has passes for every day of the tournament, VIP access. My god, I can't even imagine how cool that would be. And of course he barely knows anything about golf. Had to explain to him what at "major" was.

-Obviously pulling hard for JT. Would love to see someone I remember hitting range balls next to in high school wear the green jacket. Would be especially cool for Louisville.

-I think Day wins this one though, it's his time and he's absolutely puring it right now. Not really sure how you can pick against him.

-Anyone but Bubba/a European.

I like Louis Oosty as long shot as well.

Gun to my head, I might pick Rory who is rounding into form. I would love to see him complete the career slam at age 26. Has played well in spots at Augusta, but never put four rounds together. Along with Day, has the most raw talent in the game right now. Watching them play in the match play semis was pretty damn cool, especially since you pretty well knew it was the defacto championship match.

Lol, the 11th ranked player in the world, Major winner, with the best swing on the planet, who lost in a playoff at the Masters a few years ago is a "longshot"?

I mean, I guess you could call 25-1 long shot if you're talking PURE ODDS, but he's a top 10 choice to win the tournament.

Going to Augusta for 2 days. Always a fun time. Adam Scott has been playing great, but I think this may be Day's time. I bet Phil makes a strong run. So much phenomenal talent in golf right now. Going to be a great major.

True that, but he was not in the list of top 7 or 8 above, when someone said "pick a player not on this list". Otherwise, you are spot on.

The Masters is going to be a war this year. So many good players. Jason Day has been close at Augusta a couple of times , I'll take him this year.

Obvious- Day, Fowler, B. Watson, D. Johnson, Z. Johnson, Rose, Rory, Spieth, Scott

Second tier possibilities that many really like: Koepka, Matsuyama, Stenson, Oosthuizen, Reed, Willett, Grace

Long, long shots that might be worth a dollar or two: Streb, Woodland, Kirk, Grillo, English

Story lines: Mickelson (3rd in total putting!!!) and (A) Bryson DeChambeau.

The five catching my eye are: Koepka, Matsuyama, Grace, D. Johnson, and B. Watson. Whew, it is wide open. Even someone like Cabrera-Bello or Byeong-Hun An could surprise. Justin Thomas will win a major someday but it could be a year away. Masters week is a tradition like none other!
