Appears the tee box is haunting Tiger once again. Been all over the place the last hour +. Based on what he has done so far, doubt he is anywhere in the top 10 when this is over, but who knows. I actually thought Leishman would contend so not surprised he is playing well today. Same for Stenson.

When I saw the video of Tony Finau dislocate, then reset his own ankle...I figured he'd barely be able to walk today.

He's -3 through 10 holes and one off the lead.

Sergio recorded a 13 at the 15th. Tied for the highest score on a single hole in Masters history. He's finished.

At least Tiger is the practice range champion for the day. Said he was striping the ball.

tough day of scoring, he is not out of it . . . but there are a lot of guys still out there that could go lower today, e.g, Speith and McIlroy

WTF happened to Sergio??? That is unbelievable.

Sergio said he didn't hit a bad shot when he had 13 shots on the 15th hole. Said the ball just wouldn't stay on the green. Damn that greenskeeper.

I'd like to see a replay, but it's not available on-line yet. He had birdies on the hole before and the hole after!

He had to play hard just to get to +1...didn't birdie either 5 on the back. He will need at least a 68 tomorrow to "contend" on the weekend, but even then, he doesn't have 3 solid rounds in him at this stage.

I watched the last 2 hours, most guys had birdies, some had pars, even Dustin Johnson hit it in the water and made par. 13 is hard to explain.

Garcia was just stubborn. He kept hitting the same shot at the pin with a lot of backspin. He's far too experienced on that course to keep making that mistake. Spieth had a similar shot later but the difference was night and day.

What makes Augusta National so interesting is the risk-reward setup on the holes for different days. Use your head and you can go low. Being careless can result in disaster.

Good thing Leishman and Fleetwood didn't let that Tiger "fear factor" come into play these 2 days.

Stenson doesn’t waste time with any small talk with his playing partners. [roll] He’s a stern looking son-of-a-*****. Good ball striker.

Leishman hit the best shot of the tourney on 15 yesterday. He was on the left side of the fairway 225 out for his 2nd shot and hit a hard draw that landed on the far right side of the green and rolled all the way over to the far left hole location for a 5 foot eagle putt. It was unbelievable. When these guys realize that you have to use the banking and slopes around the greens to play this course they can be dangerous. Of course you also have to realize that sometimes this course is daring you to try something like that just to coax you into trouble (Sergio's woes come to mind). Glad Stenson is playing Ok, but his point and shoot golf is really not made for this course. I do not want to see Reed win. Hopefully he has a bad round or someone else gets hot and knocks him out. For a non-big name I would love to see Hoffman get that green jacket, it would be even cooler if he still had his epic mullet.

Love the fact that you get to listen to the experts talk about the masters and watch guys on the range for about 20+ hours while you get about 8 hours of total coverage on tv Thursday and Friday. Show me the GD tournament, the morning rounds matter too idiots.
The Masters website has everything on it. They do an amazing job just showing golf. It's pretty awesome. You can watch featured groups, or everyone play Amen Corner, or everyone play 15. While watching Thursday and Friday at my desk I noticed a lot of players hit it into the woods left on Hole 1. That must be a really deceptive look off the tee. Huge bunker on the right with the trees on the left makes these guys put a 3 wood in their hands to control the line and they end up in the woods because they have to squeeze by that bunker, yet the guys that took driver and just bombed it over the bunker ended up mostly fine.

No. 1 generally speaking is one of the harder holes on the course, straight uphill, long with a tough green to putt. Not an easy starting hole for certain. No. 4 from the back tees has to be one of the hardest par 3s in the world as well.

If Tiger makes his amazing comeback and wins this thing, a lot of people in this thread who predicted his top finish this weekend will be legends.

Gonna be great when actual coverage finally comes on at 3:00 in the evening right when it starts raining down there. Good job broadcasters.

Who would have thought when the Tournament started on Thursday that Phil would be in last place when play started Saturday and Tiger wouldn’t be far behind?

This leaderboard is unreal. The top players are chewing up this wet course.
I’d bet they’re already rolled off as much water as they can and helicopters are hovering over the first five greens right now. They’ll be polished, oiled glass tomorrow.

Even though Rory was my pick, rooting hard for the guy who slays Euros and Internationals and talks shi! while doing it. Merica!
