The more this drags out, the worse we look.

I wish they would just come out with the info and get this **** over with. The longer this takes, the more people start to look at MSU and UF or whoever else and shake there heads. The cheating info from UF was ridiculous to begin with. All that does is lend credence to the "smear campaign" theory. If the media just keeps leaking info little by little, it makes MSU look like little vindictive bitches, little by little.<div>
</div><div>What's annoying is all of these people (AU fans, talking heads, etc.) that are bitching about the sources and pointing fingers are failing to realize the most important fact: That AU paid Cam's dad 200 <17ing> thousand dollars. As if leaking info to the media is worse than paying for a players services.</div>

The ship is about to go down in a ball of flames. Think about this: Kenny Rogers will sing like a bird once ESPN offers him a couple hundred grand to tell his side of the story. His reputation will be damaged so badly among college and pro athletics that no coach will want to even hear his name. He needs a back-up plan. Telling his story for cash is the only way he gets his cut.</p>

Right now it looks like State is the only one behind the main issue. (I hope to God we've had nothing to do with the academic garbage.) But it's pretty clear that while State may have said something back in January, someone else came forward in July with something even more concrete. Unfortunatly, since State is the only one mentioned so far, it's the only one taking any heat. We might have gassed it up a little, but someone else is driving this bus now.

Personally, assuming the Admin at State aren't a bunch of idiots, I refuse to believe they did anything but cover their *** in December/ January. If something comes of all this, it'll be because the Newtons or Auburn did something really stupid to corroborate or someone else came forward.

And on a related note- you've got the entire media here in Alabama pointing fingers at State, but I haven't seen a single piece (not even an opinion piece) by anyone in Mississippi media even try to lay out the State side of the story. I know they aren't supposed to be cheerleaders, but you'd think they'd at least say something clarifying things.

who are these "recruiters" for MSU if they aren't coaches. And if they are coaches why didn't they CALL them coaches. I am in agreement I wish we just hear it all instead of this thing being piecemealed a day at a time.
