KY looks good. I can't see us beating them if we play anything like we did today.

Drebin you just done understand. We had a crazy good 6 week stretch in 2014 so the happiness police have decided we can’t be disappointed with that. We aren’t allowed to be disappointed at losing to a non-conference opponent at home when favored by more than a touchdown. People like you will just never be happy!************

Which 6 teams? I’ll give you the obvious 4, plus MAYBE Kentucky (jury still out on them). But surely you aren’t saying OM, Ark, or UT are on KSU’s level.

Are we ready to play Magic 8 Ball for the rest of the season to determine our likelihood of bowl eligibility? Good, I’ll start...

ULL - W (1-0)
USM- W (2-0)
KState - L (2-1)
UK - Very doubtful. (2-2)
Aub - Outlook not so good. (2-3)
Tenn - Signs point to yes. (3-3)
LSU - My sources say no. (3-4)
TAMU - Don't count on it. (3-5)
Ark - Outlook good. (4-5)
Bama - My reply is no. (4-6)
ACU - You may rely on it. (5-6)
OM - As I see it, yes. (6-6)

I’d say “Outlook hazy”.

That is good enough for the Liberty Bowl. If you will guarantee that, I will take it, and look forward to Women’s Basketball!***

Two of the last three you mention have better defensive lines than KSU. All three of them have recruited at a higher level than KSU.

Kansas State is not very good. You will see this when they get to conference play.

And if you think the jury's still out on Kentucky, I recommend that you flip over to ESPN and watch them. All I can see is him completing passes at a 80% clip against our defense.

If that's the case, I say we just start tanking now so we can get the first pick in the draft.

IF we clean some things up and find some WRs not named Mitchell to catch the ball, we can make 6 wins.

Am I wrong? Nothing would make me happier than underestimating our chances with Kentucky, Auburn, and A&M.

No you are right, it's just that 6-6 will do nothing more than get us to the Piggly Wiggly Bowl in Noxapater. I would rather go 5-7 and not be shamed by the morally superior for not dropping $5k to take my family across the country to see a meaningless bowl game on Christmas Eve... 5-7 puts kindling under Joe's chair. 6-6 and a bowl starts up the young team next year ********.

That is silly. None of the last 3 have better DL than KSU. You need to stop looking at the ******** “composite talent rankings” and actually watch the games. UT had their DL pushed around all over the place by 17ing Georgia State. OM you should know is awful, and Arkansas is even worse.

KSU is no playoff contender, but they could easily win 7 or 8 games in the Big 12. They are head and shoulders above that shittastic trio of teams above.

I’d have to look back but I’d imagine you weren’t happy then either.

Disappointed is one thing but some of y’all just whine constantly like children. It’s disgusting.

Kan st would be the 5th best team in this conference. Yall are some kinda overreactors.
We were a 6-8 win team to start the yr. We are still a 6-8 win team

Agreed. They’ve got a ton of upperclassmen who didn’t look too happy about taking that beatdown last year. They’ll win some games in the Big12.

That said, we should have beaten them and at full strength I think we would have but it’s not the end of the world.

I showed the 6. Show me the 8 wins.
Besides ACU, Arkansas, Tennesee, and Ole Miss... give me two more.

This will sound crazy after yesterday but I’m not sold that Auburn and TAMU are “for sure” losses. They may be games we lose but part of watching a season of football is seeing how the kids and coaches learn and improve and react to adversity. We might get better. We might not.

Frankly I don’t think the SEC is very good this year. At the very least it’s inexperienced.

I’m the one usually railing against using composite rankings to bolster talent perceptions. But if you think Kansas State has more talent than those three schools, I don’t know what to tell you.

It certainly didn’t take long for someone to come on here and brag about how good KSU is though.

You can count on 31 on holding Moorhead’s jock for him no matter what. Moorhead could be driving the bus of the cliff and 31 would tell you the bus is going to sprout wings and fly or that the cliff is better than the road.

This is some serious horse ****. Kansas State is not a good football team. 5th in the SEC? What are you smoking?

Talk about overreacting.

Both of those teams, Auburn and TAMU, have better offensive and defensive lines than Kansas State, who dominated the line of scrimmage against us yesterday.

I’m going to have to disagree with your take that kstate is not a good football team. I shared your sentiment before kickoff yesterday.

After watching what their first year coach has done, they have nothing but respect from me. They ran 4/5 different offensive sets.....and looked very comfortable doing it. Yes, they turned it over...yes they had some penalties....

But “bad” football teams don’t come here and win in the manner of which they did.....without credit given.

We havnt lost to a “bad” team since joe has been here.

Out coached, yes. Out skilled, yes. Lose a game to a clear worse team.....meh.

Last year, I know it hurt but our losses weren’t to the run of mill.
Give KSU respect.

We will disagree for now. You'll be agreeing with me by the end of the year, though, I believe.

Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, LSU, Texas A&M, Florida, Kentucky, Missouri would all beat them. Hell even South Carolina probably.

People talk about “it” factors.

That staff took over for a legend.....who instilled a rock solid foundation into a CONSISTENT winner. They bring in a complete staff of “consistent winners”

Prob the best coaching hire of the offseason. Then... his best WR transfers, along with several others. What’s the staff do....stick to their plan. Go get a transfer RB from Louisville, Ball State, and North Carolina.

They all played with SEC toughness. Both sides of the ball. They brought the fight.....came up into our back yard...and thoroughly burnt up our she shed.

Yes, the she shed. Quit discounting kstate.

Kansas State sucks. You're wasting your breath. They brought it yesterday because we didn't answer them physically. That's on us, not them.

Over the years my eyes have played many tricks on me, so history is on your side of this argument.
I’ve been wrong before .....but I can count them all on the ends of my 3 legs.

Don’t get huffy. Go getcha some fried chicken and a rolling rock....meet me at the Highlands driving range at 3. We need to blueprint our new she shed

I think they are a pretty good team. Not Auburn or A&M level. Maybe not Kentucky either but I thought we would wear them down. We are not very good and I revise my estimate to 6-6 and that won't be easy. We are playing a ton of freshmen. We have lost several players to injury and suspension. Maybe playing these freshmen will help in the long run but its gonna be a long year. Turning into a Tennessee coaching carousel would be stupid.

PS....our coaches aren't that bad. I'm satisfied that they will fix things. Losing 5 players that are NFL starters was bad enough without the suspensions and injuries we have had.

No not really. I like him as a coach and as a guy. I think he’s culturally a good fit for us. Way more than Mullen ever was.

I do think the guy can coach football as well but I don’t like some of the things we’ve seen so far.

I do think it’s WAY too early to be judging the guy and deciding he’s not the guy and we need to move on. Most people get better at their job the longer they do it and I think Moorhead will be the same. Talking about firing the guy at this point is silly and makes those people look ridiculous.
