Go CATS!!!!

Hi all... What a day, what a day...

Was able to sleep late but when I got up man I got UP....

Been running hard ever since... Finished off today taking my grand daughter to a Father/ Grand Father/ Daughter/ Grand Daughter dance for a benefit for the Dale City, VA Volunteer Fire Department.

The little BB had a good time. It was a dress up event so I was told. (Black Tie or Tux.) Had to pull my black suit out of mothballs.

The Little BB is in the purple... Her Mom dressed her to the nines. (She's a good girl.)

Mostly obscure so....

That is the real deal! Dressed for a royal event! Sure hope you cleaned up a bit to carry your end of the deal.

Good morning all,

The regulars before this site have seen my ugly mug. Papa's baby though I have to keep her hidden. Also sprayed out my face as it's early and some may not have eaten...

Anyway...

I stayed away mostly to keep her more classy. She's a doll baby... (Papa's Baby...) (She got that new purse just for the "occasion". )

I hope all have a joyful day!

Man,

Da brudder been busy. Too busy. I need to go back to work.

If it was summer I’d just hit the clubhouse pool and say find me. Need a key fob…

I am thankful though. Everyone would like to have my “problems “….

Have a peaceful rest of your evenings….

Good morning all..

Just close to good afternoon...

Man I am fighting this head cold, barely slept at all last night and I think I kept My Darling up too with me hacking and coughing. The only saving grace is I wear a CPAP mask so spreading the germs is lessened dramatically to where I don't have to sleep upstairs.

Been trying to clean up my "stuff". Not getting as much headway as I had hoped.

Speaking of "Christmas"....

I bought the two BB's metal detectors. (They were not good quality so I returned them and got them something else BUT, my oldest bought me one too and it is of a better quality. My grandson and I are sharing that one. We tried it al little around the neighborhood before this weather hit. Did just enough to peak our interests. Me and the BB have plans for metal-detecting and swimming this year. We shall see but it is a GOOD plan.

Welp, I had one cup of coffee just now. Going to start again straightening and hanging some retirement items. Going to hang my flag in mine and the BB's office. The one I received at retirement that has flown over the Pentagon. Once I hang it, I will take a picture and post it later.

Have a fine, fine day all...

Edit: Wow, that didn't take long. (Posted below) (Me and the BB will have to finish decorating that wall. It is his too.) (Once we get the wall a little more presentable. I will take and post another picture. Kind of bare right now...) The flag folded looks small but it is the same size that hangs over the Pentagon regularly. I think a 4' x 6' Flag...

I will state this again as I have previously many times....

Kings on special occasions WISH they could eat like I eat regularly...

On a plastic plate yet. The supper is not worth being on that but it keeps My Darling less engaged in the sink so.... (Soon I will help more...)

A simple meal but oh the love, taste, and satisfaction that comes with the cooking My Darling performs. Just overwhelms and has for 40 years...

Just some cooked cabbage and onions with a couple pork chops and rice but DANG!!!

Good morning folks. Starting to warm up in the east. That’s a welcome change.

Work has been hectic. Yesterday was one of those days when, by 10am I was honestly questioning why I’m doing this at 70, but by 7pm I was feeling great satisfaction at what I’d been part of producing. I guess this phase will last until the first feeling completely erases the second.

Back at it already this morning. We’ll see what today brings. I hope you all are having g an interesting week.

Good morning from ATX. We got 52°F and clear. Today's high expected around 77°F.

Transported wife to ER last night. She has blood clots. Aside from cancer, which has spread to her bones, now dealing with other complications.

We'll get through this. Y'all have a good one.

Good morning folks.

Austin, I'm awfully sorry to hear about what your wife is enduring. I know that powerless feeling of watching someone you love dealing with something like this. Prayers for both of you.

Warming up some in the east. I've already been at work about an hour, at 7:30am. Today is the culmination of a long project I began conceiving and designing back before Halloween. I'm hoping by the end of today that I'll have a sense of satisfaction with how it all turned out. In any case, I'm already deep into other stuff, so life will move along.

Already a bit nervous about the Cats' weekend ahead. The games with the Gators always hold a special level of emotion for me. My older daughter graduated from UF. I used to go to road games there when she was in school (that coincided with the back-to-back Donovan championships. My daughter was a student employee of the Sports Information Office while she was there, and very into the sports teams.) Also, her mother, my ex, was a Gator basketball cheerleader in the late 1970s. I saw the Cats' championship team of 77-78 play down there as well. I'll be pulling hard for a win, but happy for my daughter if it goes the other way.

Hope you all have a good day.

Man O man,

The busy just keeps coming….

Again, not complaining but “time to breath” comes to mind.

So very glad the temperature is up. I left Michigan permanently due to weather all winter like we’ve had the last couple weeks.

Things are slowing down some but in spurts. Blowing my mind up not being able to do a few things I had in mind.

I am totally thankful though. Just not retired yet…..

I actually thought I would have been by now. 🤪

Have an afternoon that brings you hope, comfort, and contentment….

God’s Love to you all…

Just had a cyst, mass and two hydroceles removed in November. Back in the hospital for another surgery today. Things went well, but they are keeping me overnight to be Safe.

Good morning folks.

Continued well wishes for your wife, Austin.

Warming up in the east a bit. Not above freezing yet, but warmer than it has been.

Presented a project I'd worked on for a long time yesterday, and everything went better than I could have hoped, so I'm sort of cruising today. I need to recharge a bit before the next bit thing.

Valentine's Day tomorrow -- my least favorite day of the year in my single days, but manageable now. Some flowers coming in for my wife, which she always insists she doesn't want, but I haven't spent a cumulative 37 years married between two tours of duty to be that much of an amateur. I'vll scribble out a card and be on safe ground.

Hope you all are having a great day.

55, I get Mrs. M a gift certificate to where she gets her hair and nails done. I always ask what she wants and it's always the same, nothing! But when she goes to get her hair or nails done and she uses the certificate I get her she's happy, always gives me a thank you! We are going out to eat today, staying away from the mad house tomorrow!!!

Hello All,

I JUST finished AFTER My Darling left with her friend to go to the Spa about 9:20 or so up in Centreville, VA. (My oldest "happened" to come over about noon to get some assistance with her printer which I told her to toss.) My Oldest is about as tight with a dollar as ANY could imagine.

Example: Asked me when I told her to toss the 40 dollar printer (She has had for at least five years.) if she should donate it. (She wanted to get a reciept so she could take it off her taxes.) I told her do NOT go that far. It WILL come back to bite you and I took it and trashed it in my trash bin so she couldn't. (After I removed the ink cartridges she just bought for it and told her to use these in her next printer.) (I found one on sale at Walmart.com that she could get by tomorrow. She was so happy she could reuse the ink cartridges.

THEN she told me her printer has been sitting for three years. Ink dried up in the device for sure. (She had been using my printer...)

Why this is so amazing to me.... This is the girl that makes over three times what I made as a maxed out GS-15. Yeah, ....

Anyway, I vacuumed and mopped the entire downstairs. (Cleaned all the rugs too.) Washed the few dishes. I worked up a sweat as I wanted to be finished before My Darling got home.)

I have not been able to take much time to help around the house since I retired except for a couple times. She can come home and chill now, OR I can take her out to eat but I think her and her friend were going to do that once they finished. I am good chilling too now...

I typed a book this session but I was happy I finished as I thought my daughter messed that up as I expect her any time.

I hope your days go well enough to where you can spend a little time with your loved ones. Should be only me and My Darling this evening...

Good morning folks. Happy Valentines Day. The roses and carnations I ordered were a big hit —though Cord, im going to remember your idea for next year.

Big opportunity for the Cats today. I’m more hopeful than confident.

I hope you all have a great Saturday.

Hello all,

Slept late. Did the hard work yesterday (Not back breaking but I did work up a sweat.) My Darling was pleased. She was able to lounge around. Made for a good day. I am thankful.

My Darling is making an Oxtail soup today. A very entailed soup but a delicacy. She hasn’t made that in a long while. Got the ingredients from the commissary on Quantico Marine Base.

Have a blessed day and…..Go Cats!!! Whip the gators….. have some gator tail… It’s gooooood….

Edit: I will share a picture when the soup is done. (Edit again, it takes two days...)
