Good afternoon all,

Been up since just after 6 but been hard at it. Actually also cut into my driveway some too to remove excess ice to where we can get in and out of our car easier.

Took my two BB's (The Booger Butt and the Little Bigger Booger Butt) to school too. (Two hour delay.)

My grand daughter (Who just turned 6 asked me "Papa, when are you going to do the arm pit operation on me and Joshua?")

A few years ago, I convinced them both my Grand daughters Mom switched both of their armpits just after they were born so when I tickle one, I think it is the other one....

You can all understand that I'm sure...

So you see, I have some very scientific work to do soon.. Keep me in your prayers....

Have a Christ Blessed day....

Good morning folks.

Great game for the Cats. A shout out to Brandon Garrison: 20 pts. And 11 rebs. He actually played well against Arkansas with some really precise passes for assists out of the high post: That’s a big part of Pope’s offense when it’s working.

If Garrison continues to play this way, the ceiling of the team rises, because having another interior threat creates more open looks on the perimeter.

Heading into work. We’re still under the snow blanket as it hasn’t hit 32 to start a thaw. It’s getting a little gray and dingy along the streets.

Hope you all have a great day.

Good morning everyone.

7-1 during a tough stretch of games. Ahh, there's that hope word sneaking back into our thoughts. Not counting the Vandy game most everyone seems to be having some decent games. Although, when Aberdeen went out it seemed to expose our lack of PG play. Glad he got back in.

We got another dusting of snow yesterday but looking forward to the big thaw that will be coming next week. I hope to do more hiking than I did last year.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning from ATX. 50°F and clear. Ha ha, we might see 80°F later today.

Happy Friday, fellow D-Leaguers. Have a great day.

Good morning folks. More or less. Still hovering in the teens and were under a severe winds warning which will make that even more miserable.

Had dinner last night with a couple of old buddies I hadn't seen in a long time. A war zone reporter and photographer. My photog buddy who knows I'm from Kentucky reminded me of the time we were in Baghdad and it was dangerous for westerners to travel more than necessary so we asked our fixer to go get food and bring it back to our hotel (the Al Hambra, which, by the way, was later leveled by a suicide bomber after we were long gone.) So the fixer says, "I will bring Kentucky!" It turns out that is the general name for all take-out chicken in Iraq. And it was pretty damn good.

I always looked for signs of Kentucky in my overseas travel. Here's another one, from the city of Quetta, Pakistan, near the Afghanistan border soon after 9/11...The Colonel moved aside by a local hero. Americans were not popular, to say the least. THis was not long before my friend and journo comrade Daniel Pearl was kidnapped in Pakistan...

Wake up People(s)....

Only ice and cold outside with some new snow drizzle with the promise of 20-30 MPH winds and gusts up to 60MPH! Been running all day. Working at one of my other houses and fighting on the phone.. (A "friendly" fight---- Never been in one of those in my best J.D. Cahill voice....)

Have a goodun...

Good morning everyone

We finally made it off the hill yesterday but we got more snow here again last night. I'm looking forward to the warm up next week. I've "adopted" a 4.5 mile stretch of the Pine Mtn Scenic Trail so need to get up there and get it checked out and see what kind of trees/brush etc has been knocked down on it over the winter.

Game Day. Big home game for us....gotta win these. I bet this one will be another physical battle. I may actually watch the Duke/NC game as well.

Have a good one.

Good morning folks. Still freezing in the east, and now we're under a "dangerous winds" alert. Woke me up at 4am blowing over my trash cans and rattling them down the driveway.

Big chance for the Cats tonight. I'd LIKE to trust them after the last couple games. I'm getting there. Even playing well, Tennessee will be tough.

Heading out into the howling winds for a Saturday run. Hope you all stay warm.

Go CATS!!!!

Hi all... What a day, what a day...

Was able to sleep late but when I got up man I got UP....

Been running hard ever since... Finished off today taking my grand daughter to a Father/ Grand Father/ Daughter/ Grand Daughter dance for a benefit for the Dale City, VA Volunteer Fire Department.

The little BB had a good time. It was a dress up event so I was told. (Black Tie or Tux.) Had to pull my black suit out of mothballs.

The Little BB is in the purple... Her Mom dressed her to the nines. (She's a good girl.)

Mostly obscure so....

Good morning folks. What a great, gutty win by the Cats. These guys are becoming a team with a “refuse to lose” attitude. Incredible with three guys who were presumed to be starters by now out for the season that this team has developed the way they have.

Heading out for a run. 6f here, with strong icy winds. But it’ll be a lot less painful replaying the game in my head.

Good Sunday morning everyone.

It looks like we'll start having some normal winter weather for a while. My wife and I can do fine up here on the hill when we can't get out, but glad it's turning around.

Bad first half last night but a great second half. All of our 9 players did what was needed to win. There were lots of clutch plays during our little run at the end. Well, one thing's for sure....you can't give up on this team. Well, I was pretty down after the Vandy game (I think everyone was). But, let's go.

I won't be watching the Super Bowl but may just watch the Michigan Bball game. Enjoy your Super Bowl Sunday.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 52°F. Expecting high of 79°F. Wore shorts to get haircut yesterday. Love our winter weather. It's Austin summertime that turns brutal.

Can't say enough good things about second-half comeback last night. Love the never-quit attitude.

Super Bowl Sunday. Plan on grabbing Pizza Hut. Go Pats!

Wishing y'all a peaceful Sunday.

Good morning everyone

Thanks for Super Bowl cliff notes above. lol I know Seattle won and glad I didn't watch. The only interest I had in the game was my Grandmother was a big Seahawks fan. She lived in Seattle when the team started and sent me a banner. I still had it on my wall when I left but doubt it made it through my younger brothers. I'll have to ask. Who knows...it may still be hanging on the wall. Last time I was in that room I couldn't hardly make it through. Dad and Mom had all their junk in it. I hint that they need to start tossing but that ain't going to happen.

Boy, it will be a long wait for our next game. Looking forward to some warmer weather this week.

Enjoy your day.

Good morning folks. Still the Deep Freeze in the east. It was 7F when I went for my run this morning.

Pretty Meh Super Bowl. The halftime show was good -- as long as you changed the channel to the Puppy Bowl, which I always do. Some pretty damn cute pups running around acting foolish. But at least they are doing it unselfconsciously, not trying to make a social commentary.

My son's in Maryland for a government leadership conference, about 45 minutes from where we live in a historical little town called Shepardstown. We are hoping to go see him for supper this evening, if he can get free.

You all have a good day.
