As you can tell from my avator, I appreciate his skills. He's hilarious in just about everything he's in.

I'm on a self imposed ban of HBO. "Entourage" alone wasn't worth the channel last season. And oh yeah, thanks for raping "Deadwood" and giving us "John From Cincinnati."

...it seems that the character is loosely based on Mitch "Wild Thing" Williams.

Yea, you could see John Rocker all over the place. Too many jews in NY, too many **** in San Fran, but like the other poster said the first person I thought of was Mitch Williams. He had the mullet going strong with the name Kenny"17ing" Powers. You're 17ing out.

I laughed all the way through and closing the show slinging the half-naked lush off the jet-ski was awesome. I don't know how long the show will last, but I will watch it again.

For about a month now and saw that Danny Mcbride was starring in it and could not wait... it was hilarious last night but i can only see it getting better watched the Making of beforehand and it gave some of the First Episode away but Will Ferrell is going to star in it and is Producing it along with the writer of Anchorman and Step Brothers, and I suggest the movie Foot Fist Way its the funniest thing the dude has done.

it is recorded to the DVR and awaiting my eyes, I've heard good things in Men's Health of all places and am thinking it will be pretty good

Just watched it on HBO on demand and I thought it was hilarious. That guy was funny in Pineapple express, and this role seems to be just up his alley.

Sidepoints for a greased up, curly mullet too.

I believe Danny McBride is the funniest comedian/actor in the business right now...he has this "its too easy" aspect about him that makes it seem like comedy comes so natural to him. I believe he is from Canada (which is another issue I have... why are all these comedians that I think are great from Canada) but he pulls off this redneck trailor trash persona that suits him perfectly...I haven't seen Foot Fist Way movie but it is next on my list now... and as for HBO I think they are picking up the slack after this last season of Entourage which was **** with Summer Heights and the new season of Flight of the Concords...but this new show I think will lead to brighter days for HBO series to come

You speaking of Rod Beck? The scene in the back of the bar among other obvious things, such as curly mullet and what not, remind me of Beck as well.

This has always bothered me - why can't they get actors who can throw (or swing a bat, hit a golf ball, etc.) without looking like a *****? (Exhibit A: Tom Cruise in Top Gun)

Now that I think about it, I guess if actors (or 95% of them) were athletic when they were young, they would have been on the field and not on stage. Maybe for most people, it's mutually exclusive.

Favorite Kenny Powers line so far: "For your information, I have full-sized balls."

It drives me crazy to watch a show/movie when the actors plays an athlete but they have zero coordination. It was laughable that this character is suppose to have a strong arm but his arm motion is fundamentally flawed. I have never seen a MLB pitcher push a baseball. Not to mention the scene where he serves up the home run ball to a guy that swings like Danny Zuko.

Yeah, the steriod and ball, question and answer, was the highlight of the show.
