I'll switch it up some. Since it is mostly negative interactions here.
We stayed in Dillsboro weekend before last. Pretty cool little mountain town. Had the best steak dinner I believe I've ever had at a place called Boots. We went and saw some waterfalls and just checked out some towns. Also went to Pigeon Forge. Never been.
In Pigeon Forge there is a crime museum called Alcatraz East. Really cool. Here is OJ's Bronco and Ted Bundy's VW.
The museum has lots of details into infamous crimes and serial killers with evidence collected in each case on display. Was a cool way to kill an hour or so. Plus the drive from NC to Tennessee through the mountains was beautiful. We also went to a whiskey distillery. Got a little lit off of the free samples and didn't buy any. Terrible, I know.
This is Whitewater Falls almost in S.C. . I am told it is the largest waterfall east of Colorado. Don't fact check me. Just what I am told.
It was actually 68 degrees that day. Not bad for a January day in the mountains.
Dry Falls is pretty cool. It is really close to a town (Cashiers?) Maybe. We had some good BBQ there. Forget the name of the restaurant. But you can walk under this waterfall.
It was really cool. But a lot more crowded than Whitewater. There was only one other couple at Whitewater when we were there.
Would like to go back and do the Smokey Mountain train ride. We were planning on doing that but it wasn't running the weekend we were up there.
