First yes, intelligent people usually avoid just clips, because they often lack context. I've both watched AND read what he said a number of times, and it was REALLY f'ing clear. He was hemming and hawing, and the moment you say "There were really fine people on both sides"... no. I don't know a SINGLE FINE PERSON who would join a Klan/white power march to defend Confederate statues, and I know a BUNCH of Confederate Civil War reenactors and the like... and not farbs, but serious campaigners.

Was reading that Hope Hicks was symptomatic and still flew on AF1. Seems irresponsible. Trump is fat and over 70, but his physician doesn't seem too concerned about his overall health. I imagine he will be getting the best treatment available if he does come down with symptoms.

Hope Hicks was symptomatic. But she had tested negative on Wednesday morning and then started to show signs after that. Everyone around the President is tested regularly.
It is crazy, though, that when they got to the debate, the entire Trump entourage refused to wear masks, even after a doctor approached them and said that it was required. They are just so incredibly self centered
And between Trump's age, his weight, and his apparent heart issues (not sure how serious) he is definitely in the most risky categories. Fingers crossed he does okay... he has the best health care in the world, so he has that going for him. Wish everyone had that.

And the fact that any Trump fan would have the nerve to try to pretend to be offended or think what Biden said was bad... I know that a lot of Trump fans are like Trump himself, a blowhard who is actually REALLY thin skinned... but that would be a bridge too far even for them.
I personally like the fact that Biden is refusing to back down from what he said. After all, it’s the truth and to say it to Trump’s face while his supporters were watching is priceless. It shows backbone.
