Mocking him for the wheelchair isn't cool.

Madison Cawthorne upped the ante with that one though.

Maxine Waters (paraphrasing since I don't remember the exact words) encouraged people to get in the faces of cabinet members if you see them in a restaurant and tell them they're not welcome. I have previously said I disagreed with that.

Cawthorne is now telling people to threaten members of Congress. This is absolutely beneath his office.

What's next? An elected official encouraging actual violence on other elected officials?

Nah, that could never happen.
I know it isn't, however I'm too weak to resist the low hanging fruit.

But yeah, Cawthorne is a real piece of work, earlier last year he said he was going to try to convert all Jews and Muslims to Christianity, alomg with saying that separating church and state, ya know the First Amendment of the Constitution is silly.

Operations / distribution management. I don't spend much of my time on floors any more but I spent a lot of years doing what I'm sure you'd consider real work.
So my guess of your career and how you're treated may not be far off? No idea what you mean with the real work comment. Spare yourself thinking I play the division game in the work force. Every job has value. It's more about the person that does the job than thinking one is superior to the other.

Here they go again. Never did @Jtre condemn @durhamgolfer’s horrible comment. Never. Then, @durhamgolfer makes perhaps the dumbest comment of the day (don’t worry, it’s early in the day, and there’s time for one of you others to pass her by), accusing me of only attacking the nonwhite men. Haha. What a stupid comment. Totally a lie, btw. I’m an equal opportunity liberal basher. You all say stupid things. Heck, @Shatterthesky22, @Crest is Garbage, @bleediteveryday30, @BOOGIEMAN1914 say dumb **** all the time, boogie just not as much as the others. @Jtre and @durhamgolfer are more dangerous as posters. He is a race baiter, and she is just angry as hell.
How do you figure @Jtre and @durhamgolfer are dangerous posters? And you do realize most of your retorts aren't actual arguments to anything any of us has said, just insults.

Trump has done a lot of damage to the Republican party. Aside from the perception issue, it is possible, if his hold over the party continues, you will see a lot of Trump-lite types pushing Republicans out during primaries and ultimately losing in the general elections.
Yes, Trump has done damage to the Republican party. Not in the way you're suggesting though. He's been great, and makes them look bad. Almost everyone right of middle has fully recognized just how pathetic our party is. That's one of the biggest differences. We've all realized they sold us out decades ago. You guys still cling to this delusion that your party cares. They don't. That's the problem. Ya'll believe the media, and think your side is better.
News flash: They aren't. They are slightly more pathetic than the Republicans.

The media is the driving force. Nothing but toxic. They need to be overhauled.

Maybe. Maybe not. I think the base is ready to move away from the old conservative establishment. There's a lot people who don't necessarily support Trump personally, but support the idea of an outsider disrupting the status quo. I think there is an opportunity for the right to reach out and appeal to a larger demographic. Trump was in a great position to do it himself, but between the constant negative coverage and him constantly shitting down his leg, ultimately he was just too toxic.

You need to stick to Star Wars, or whatever space age crap you’re into. Wear your helmet too. You have no clue what you’re talking about.
All I want is the truth. Something the msm hasn’t done in a long, long time.

You clearly want the "truth". Sadly, I ruined my helmet at the last Antifa rally I attended.

Just when I think you can’t post anything worse, you outdo yourself. This guy that put that out there is a pathetic, and horrible person. Lies, nothing but lies. And your ignorant *** reposted it.
You’re truly clueless. Please, I hope you don’t have kids. I’ll pay for your vasectomy.

You calling me ignorant, clueless, pathetic, and horrible is extremely rich coming from the likes of you. I pray for your friends and family having to put up with your hateful ***.

You have made what could easily be seen as belittling comments about the education and social works fields in the past, as well as taken shots at "working behind a desk." Forgive me if I wrongly interpreted those sentiments.

I agree with your last sentence. My philosophy on management and leadership has always been based in taking care of the people who are busting their *** doing the hard work which and ensuring they are in a good place and realize the crucial roles they play to the overall operation.

Such dishonest and dumb sensationalism. It really doesn't reflect well on the intelligence of people who post such things or those who share the posts.

These are all things that have come out of Donald Trump's mouth. If he's not a white supremacist and a racist then he goes out of his way to appeal to those who are. One is really no better than the other.

I've seen you take exception to people's quoting of his Charlottesville comment. He deserves to be criticized for it, though. He took a day and a half (I believe but I cannot remember the exact timeframe) to comment, condemned actions and immediately followed with the good people on both sides comment. A day (possibly two, again timeframes) later he followed up by placing blame for the violence and the women's death on counter-protesters because they didn't have a permit to be there.

Trump should have just condemned the tiki-torch, blood-and-soil crowd and stepped away from the microphone. He couldn't do that, though, either because of his own bigoted thoughts or out of a fear of alienating who he knows is a prominent part of his base.

Are you familiar with the term "meeting after the meeting?"

Trump's "good people," was the public speech version of the meeting after the meeting. Similar to when a Human Resources manager receives an employee complaint, investigates it and has to slap the wrist of a manager due to protocol even though the HR manager in actuality agrees with the manager's action. The HR manager brings both parties in, fronts on the manager and sends both on their way. The HR manager then calls the other manager back in alone and lets them know everything is all good and they were just covering the company's collective ***.

That is pretty much what Trump's good people comment was: His way of letting the blood-and-soil crowd know he's still down with them.

You make it very hard to maintain civil discussions.

I'm sorry, but if you're dumb enough to post lies like he does, and stupid memes, you're a special kind of stupid. The fact you're defending him is even worse. Because for someone who says they research like you claim, there's nothing in his post that is accurate. Nothing.

I feel mac is incapable of having a civil discussion unless you 100% agree with his point of view and his alone.
To first have civil discussion, you must first bring legitimate issues to the board. Not lies. I stand by what I say. Man up, and do a little better research before posting. You're clueless.

There may have generalizations in the tweet he shared(i.e. Mexican "rapists," was more along the lines of, 'they're not sending their best people... They're sending rapists and drug dealers... bad hombres.' I used the ellipses because they are not exact quotes but all phrases were used around the same time), but every word in it was a descriptor used on the associated party.

It's amazing how bad you can make someone's quotes when you remove context and/or omit key words. You always have the "those were his words" to fall back on.

Debunk it for me. Did he not say there were good people on both sides of the protest in Charlottesville?
And he immediately said that he did not include the ones that started the violence. You cannot just pick out the part of the quote to prove your point.

Again. Apparently you have never watched this objectively.

In this exchange, he first said that there were very bad people in the group (rednecks). Then went on to point out that there were ALSO very fine people. Then he said fine people on both sides. He also went on to say that there were bad people on both sides. Then he specifically said that he was not talking about the white nationalists or the neo nazis when he said fine people.

This is some of the most dishonest coverage and reaction in modern history. And anyone, you, crest or ANYONE who repeats the lies is doing a huge disservice for truth in reporting.

Here's a transcript of the entire press conference.

The exact timeline of events is this:

August 12 - Charlottesville

August 14- Taped speech condemning racism, Klan, Neo-Nazi groups, etc.

August 15- Very fine people press conference.

Over the past four years you would often see Trump follow this same pattern.

Event - Prepared speech or statement encouraged by aides and advisors - blows up the prepared statement by going off script with reporters or pulling out his phone.

@Jtre You're dealing in facts, this will not go over well. You have to be unapologetically devoted to Trump no matter what. It's the big bad press that is to blame here, not his own words and actions. Gosh, why can't you understand that Trump is never to blame for his words and actions!

How about this. Orange man gone. I am guilty of responding to it. But how long before we quit with the sensationalized regurgitation of nonsense? Will people ever be able to move on? Wait for it..... on both sides.

This is the truth, and it gets said too often, but the media is so crooked. You liberals here aren't interested in knowing the truth. Almost all of your sources are full of ****. What's worse is you don't even admit it when the proof gets shown to you. Yet, you all want to fuss and say honest conversations can't be had with me. The problem is, you all are the ones that aren't being honest. Then the Rev comes in spewing more useless babble, twisting the conversation like a pretzel.

I'll switch it up some. Since it is mostly negative interactions here.

We stayed in Dillsboro weekend before last. Pretty cool little mountain town. Had the best steak dinner I believe I've ever had at a place called Boots. We went and saw some waterfalls and just checked out some towns. Also went to Pigeon Forge. Never been.

In Pigeon Forge there is a crime museum called Alcatraz East. Really cool. Here is OJ's Bronco and Ted Bundy's VW.

The museum has lots of details into infamous crimes and serial killers with evidence collected in each case on display. Was a cool way to kill an hour or so. Plus the drive from NC to Tennessee through the mountains was beautiful. We also went to a whiskey distillery. Got a little lit off of the free samples and didn't buy any. Terrible, I know.

This is Whitewater Falls almost in S.C. . I am told it is the largest waterfall east of Colorado. Don't fact check me. Just what I am told.

It was actually 68 degrees that day. Not bad for a January day in the mountains.

Dry Falls is pretty cool. It is really close to a town (Cashiers?) Maybe. We had some good BBQ there. Forget the name of the restaurant. But you can walk under this waterfall.

It was really cool. But a lot more crowded than Whitewater. There was only one other couple at Whitewater when we were there.

Would like to go back and do the Smokey Mountain train ride. We were planning on doing that but it wasn't running the weekend we were up there.

How about some NFL predictions for the weekend? Who do you all have winning? I say, Packers/Bucs and Chiefs/Ravens. I'd love for it to be Rams/Bucs and the Bills/Browns though. My Raiders, once again, failed to make the playoffs, so I have been pulling hard for the Bills or the Browns to make it to the Super Bowl.
