Lol. The rest of the world views us much more favorably with Biden in office. We were the laughingstock with Trump.
False! They see us as weak and free reign for everyone. Look at the crisis at the border. Oh I forgot it’s not a crisis yet according to the corrupt media.

Lots of experts on foreign relations in here. I wonder how many of these experts have ever lived overseas for extended time and been immersed in non-American communities. You might find that most people outside the US don’t think about the US at all. They only see how unhealthy and dumb our citizens look on TV and wonder how this can be. You guys are equating foreign perception with your own personal identity. Those two things are unrelated.

You're not wrong. But there are some telling signs that we are not more respected with Biden as our president. To even make the comment that the rest of the world views us more favorable is comical. I do agree that most of the world doesn't think about the US. It's a bit narcissistic to think otherwise. But I believe the conversation is more aimed at the leaders of the world and how they view us. I could be wrong.

Being liked or disliked should have nothing to do with our foreign policy or any of our international policy. This isn't High school, the stakes are much higher and the #1 priority for our leadership should be to present a strong, capable United States - economically, politically, and militarily. In doing so this would benefit all citizens' safety, security, and financial prosperity. Portraying any other posture encourages countries who wish us harm in any of those areas to pursue policies that hurt America and weaken our Nation - just look back in recent history, ample examples to choose from.

One would need an advanced degree in international politics to start to understand which strategies make sense. For that reason I don’t offer any opinions about which policies are best. I leave that to people who know much more than I do. Large economies tend to bully smaller ones. Nothing is free. That’s the extent of my knowledge.

This is such a terrible take. Either you just want to argue, or you’re mentally challenged.
I’m hoping it’s you just like to argue, because if you’re serious with what you said, I’ll not respond to you anymore, because you aren’t playing with a full deck.
Shatter sky is right because the world does favor us more now. They know that he is not going to stand up for American rights and give them anything they want

Biden’s press conference, wow!
82 million votes, lol
I love the media asking him yesterday about his press conference today. His reply was golden: What press conference?
Our resident libs are hiding under their desks. They’ve got nothing.

They wish a mod would lock up this thread.

Nope. Conservatives are too stupid or stubborn or too addle brained to understand that there is no voter fraud with the system that we have. When the system is working, no need to fix it.
I didn’t read the 100+ page bill, so i won’t take veiled shots at people or groups. Especially, when I only know the headlines or bullet/talking points from both sides. I won’t act like i have read and analyzed it enough to start pointing fingers on a message board.

Finally, that was not the purpose of my response. I merely agreed with Charles’s take on society from the clip that was shared.

Carry on.

Hard to pick up that that was your point when your response was to Ghost's calling out liberals as being stupid and inherently racist. And you don't need to read a bill to know that the issue of voter fraud is unsubstantiated crap that the Republicans have been peddling for quite a while now. You just have to read a newspaper.
But carry on.

I said that the notion that minorities are too stupid to obtain ID's is inherently racist. Which is the narrative that you piece of **** liberals push.

A manager of an apt building recently told me that some of their units have such high turnover that the current residents of those units received up to five mail in ballots. Without voter Id one person could vote at least five times and this situation is common enough in apt buildings and housing complexes to turn close elections

Georgia, which was the biggest dumpster fire in terms of election integrity, made a correct decision. Anyone with half a brain knows the 2020 election was rigged, and slanted big time to favor the dems.
Funny they denied it for so long. If it wasn’t an issue, they would have kept laws in place. Nothing racist at all asking for ID to vote. But, with dems, liberals, whatever you want to call them, it’s what they do. Attack the change, and those behind it

Better late than never. Changes have to be made to somewhat ensure a more honest election.

It goes against everything and every reason i started this thread to respond, but i feel like i have to since you’ve called into question my intelligence.

My first mistake was not making it clear that i was in fact reacting to the charles Barkley clip. I think Charles was spot on. I can understand, that wasn’t clear and that’s on me.

To your point- just pick up a paper and you’ll know everything you need to know, i do. I read a lot. Just because i don’t project it here on a basketball message board, doesn’t mean i don’t have an informed opinion.

As it relates to the GA voting law that was just passed- making voter IDs required is common sense. No one is being denied a vote with this updated law. It isn’t suppressing anyone’s rights. To me it’s all pretty common sense. It’s also a typical manufactured crisis. I’ve seen the WaPo column giving President Biden four Pinocchio’s for his comments regarding the Ga law in regards to limiting the time People have to vote. It’s just a flat out lie. The not being able to get water in line? Again, flat out lie. It’s common sense to not allow outside groups to hand out gifts- pretending this is about water is naive or more likely, ignoring the real issue the rule Is there in the first place.

I have issues with Hypocritical corporations like Coke, Delta and the MLB speaking out like they have any clue what is even in the bill? Ive seen this song and dance before. The MLB is screwing the city Of Atlanta, the employees (many of which are minorities) out of work due to caving to the reaction. They’re trying to save face, but there is no saving face here, it never ends.

It’s really a sad state of affairs. I agree with Barkley, which is what my intention was for my entire involvement here. Politicians are pinning normal people against each other for their own benefit.

This. I’ve heard that all serious legit Western democracies require an ID to vote . Common sense indeed; that is if you give a rats *** about voter integrity

5 mail in ballots of the one person that use to live there or multiple people that have lived there?....question..if I ordered a mail in ballot....moved before it arrived...decided to go and vote in person...can that mail in be counted...or even vice versa...if my mail in was used by someone else incorrectly and I go to poll wouldn't it be flagged

Are you serious? The reason the laws are being changed is to make sure that Georgia will return and remain red. Sorry you still cling to the delusion that the election was rigged but it wasn't. there has been no proof of voter fraud other than a couple of republicans who tried to vote twice for Trump. right now democracy is under attack. These voter id laws are made to make voting harder and not easier. Why? Well the lawyer for Arizona admitted before the Supreme Court that this is the way Republicans win. We are quickly becoming a government governed by the minority. You don't mind because you like the Republican platform. For us the in the majority, who have issues with what the Republicans are peddling, this is a huge issue.

The issue of voter repression is a huge one. It has been for years. And it is a lie being peddled by the Republicans that there is voter fraud - a lie that they use to insist on voter ids even though there is no reason. This is not a made up crisis. It is a direct assault on democracy. With the gerrymandering and other obstacles, a minority party has been in control for the last several years and will likely be in control again after the midyears. Those of us who want to tackle climate change, who believe in gay marriage, trans right, protection for access to birth control, a woman's right to choose, increasing taxes on corporations and forcing them to be better citizens -- in other words the majority -- are watching our country essentially being stolen from us. This is what is so frustrating about bills like this, which are being enacted by the red states. FYI, the Georgia law makes it a misdemeanor to give people waiting on line to vote anything of value, which is so broad that it encompasses things like food and water. Bottom line, while voter ids may seem to you as simple common sense fixes, when they are put in context of what else is going on in this country, they are something more nefarious.

Without voter Id anyone can send in a mail in ballot without penalty. Whether they can then go vote in person varies from state to state but very few votes were thrown out in 2020 The lowest rejection rate in decades. Inconvenient truth sorry

Quit peddling poison. “What else is going on in this country”. I can only imagine. So only people who vote Democrat don’t have ids. Yet they somehow sign rental agreements, apply for jobs, drive cars, buy alcohol and cigarettes, apply for food stamps and Medicaid. But they somehow can’t vote because they don’t have an id. Riiiight

other inconvenient truth. there is no evidence of voter fraud.
