No one will shed any tears for this dude.

On a side note, I scrolled through the last few days of Jason Whitlock's Twitter feed and I found no mentions of Jaslyn Adams until he responded to LeBron's tweet. Whitlock was talking about all kinds of things over the past three days but only felt the need to bring her up as what-about-prop when going after someone who was objecting to something he disagrees with.

Does that mean he doesn't care about her either?
You’re finding fault with what Whitlock said? He is a sports journalist. And he responded to an athlete’s ridiculous tweets.
Stop it Rev, and quit diverting from the real issue, which was Lebron.

If police spent resources posting up outside country bars and VFWs at closing time the way they do clubs frequented by Blacks, would they bust a lot more white folks for DUI?
You don’t think they do? You’re spinning again Rev. Own where the major problems are. You’ll actually gain some respect on this message board.
You act like a man of integrity, man up and admit it.

One. I don't know anything about Jason Whitlock. I only shared the tweet because it brought up an important fact of how selective outrage is a problem with so called activists. So I am not sure where the relevance is with your response.

Also, Lebron was not simply objecting to something he disagreed with. He was perpetuating falsehoods while ignoring very important facts in an effort to selfishly portray himself as some kind of leader on racial and social issues. He is trash.

What are you talking about, "own where the major problems are?"

No, I don't think you have near the amount of cops outside majority white bars as you do majority Black bars. People I know in law enforcement have told me as much in the past.

Let me be clear about one thing, I don't care if you respect me.

Whitlock directly said LeBron doesn't care about Black people dying because he hadn't mentioned Jaslyn Adams. Since he Whitlock didn't tweet about her until that point, if he holds himself to the same standard, that means he doesn't care about Black people, including the seven year-old he used as a prop, dying either.

You're entitled to your opinion. Applying one standard to someone else while applying a different one to yourself is hypocrisy. Whitlock did that.
Just when I thought you couldn’t do worse, you double down. Typical lib. Blaming a sports reporter for commenting about what an athlete said.
Are you smart enough to realize Whitlock wouldn’t have said anything had Lebron not went full stupid?

Can’t wait to read your gem of a response

I get that. Whitlock stated that LeBron doesn't care about Black people dying because he hadn't said anything about Jaslyn Adams being murdered. Prior to that, Whitlock had not said anything about Adams being murdered, either.

If the lack of comment shows LeBron doesn't care about Blacks dying, doesn't it also mean Whitlock not commenting on her murder mean the same thing?

I'm not blaming Whitlock for what LeBron said. I'm applying the same logic to Whitlock that Whitlock applied to LeBron.

I'm not sure why you don't understand the point.

I get it. You’re not. Whitlock does SPORTS, or those associated with SPORTS. So when an ATHLETE says something stupid, which Lebron did, that falls into Whitlock’s area.
Seems pretty basic to me. I wrote sports and athlete in big letters for you to hopefully get the point. If I could draw you a picture, I would.

I see where the disconnect lies here. Go to Whitlock's twitter feed and check it out. He's far from talking about just sports and athletes. If this was Skip Bayless, I would agree with you.

Why are you even putting any of the focus on Whitlock? The real issue, which you refuse to give the proper focus to, is Lebron. This isn’t hard to understand Rev.

You are correct sir. YouTube some of Whitlocks interviews on tucker, levin. Among others. He used to be on fs1 until he wasn’t all of a sudden go figure. He has an agile mind and is an independent thinker free of political chains.

Why oh my do you so casually throw around that word murder. Have you thought nothing about the girl that she was about to “murder”? Cases like this illuminate the true agenda of jtre and LaBigot James. Though for the life of me I can’t understand why he LaBigot hates white people so much. He was given a free ride to a good school by white people st Anthony’s. Then 90% of the fans at nba games again whte people. I don’t get it how could his life have gone any better?

Jaslyn Adams was the seven year-old little girl who was shot in the McDonald's drive-through. I think we can all agree that's murder. I'm glad the suspect won't be making it to court.

You seem to be mixing up this and the Makhia Bryant shooting. I recognized yesterday that I rushed to judgement and owned that. At no point have I said a single thing about the officer needing to be fired or prosecuted. I believe I said the officer followed protocol in the situation. If I didn't I meant to. You and I began to discuss the badly-in-need-of-repair foster care system as a result.

Bayless doesn't work for ESPN and hasn't for years. Go check Bayless's twitter. I went back 10 days and he did not express a single opinion not related to sports. That is the reason I used him as an example. Whitlock's Twitter, on the other hand, is filled with his social and political commentary.

I don’t know the details of this case to which you continually refer (like a parrot learning a new word). ( Polly want a cracker? I’m good thanks!). But from a distance it sounds more like manslaughter although you better consult with Durham golfer as she is our tesident legal expert

A drive-by shooting that takes the life of a child sounds like manslaughter to you?

I appreciate your willingness to deep dive into Skip Bayless’ twatter account (I bet that was fun!) but what were you trying to prove again?

Regarding Whitlock commenting on Lebron, compared to Bayless. Bayless values his job maybe, and knows he can’t say anything politically negative about a black athlete, where Whitlock can.
Color matters in this. Like the comments Barkley made at the final four. Say what you want, but he can get away with more on air in terms of race relations because he’s black.

It appears that the suspect shot the car in which she was sitting 38 times. Under Illinois law, that is pretty clearly first-degree murder. Also, people need to keep in mind that each state defines their crimes slightly differently, as they are permitted to do. In NY state for instance, the murder statutes do not talk in terms of pre-meditation. One commits murder in NY when, with intent to cause the death of someone, the person causes the death of that person or another. The intent can be formed in seconds. That is different from, but also encompasses, pre-meditated murder, which is often defined as requiring proof of longer term planning. As for manslaughter, Illinois has voluntary manslaughter, which is limited to causing the death of an unborn child, or involuntary manslaughter which is the unintentional killing without justification. That is not the same as in NY. Something to keep in mind when discussing which charges seem appropriate.
