Still waiting for the brave Capitol Policeman to stand up and take credit for slaying the dragon named
Ashli Babbitt. Pretty amazing that a felon killed by police can get statues and a 27 million dollar settlement for his family but the family of a veteran killed by police cannot even be told who pulled the trigger.
What felon is that?

Did you type this with a straight face? Look at some videos. Police kindly moving gates out of the way, allowing the people in, and slowly walking backwards while they climbed the steps. No resistance whatsoever. Plus, the National Guard was denied 2 days before, and not by Trump.

As stated in earlier posts, anyone who went in should be held accountable. But, this was a SETUP. A masterful one done by the left, and probably some from the right as well.
Receipts, please.

George Floyd was a convicted felon? What relevance does it have to his death and the injustice of it?
Yes. And no relevance.

The comment had nothing to do with his death. But how he has been martyred by a large portion of society despite his violent and criminal past. While a veteran killed by capitol police is regarded as a stupid redneck who played a stupid game and won a stupid prize. I'll admit that it is a bit of a false equivalence, but really not wrong to question.

I am sure you are just as concerned about the 1000 + minorities shot this year by other minorites in big cities all run by Democrats. Even though you never mention it I am sure it is heavy on your heart. Floyd should have still been in prison for putting a gun into the belly of a pregnant women.

The humor derives not from fourteen “making fun of mental health” as you articulately put it, but rather the notion that somehow how often you frequent a sports message board can improve or harm ones mental health

Nah the Dems Big Tech and the Msm are putting on a decades long play. In this **** show there’s a villain and give you a hint the Black man ain’t it. So the inner city violence will never reach the stage. In fact if one of the writers even brings it up he or she may be fired on the spot.

I'd say George Floyd was martyred by Derek Chauvin.

Had George Floyd pulled a gun on Chauvin and been shot and killed, it wouldn't matter if he'd been a choirboy his entire life, and @acc hoops would likely be among the first people rushing to point that out. But Ashli Babbitt still gets to be a veteran, not a criminal who "deserved it."

What a beautiful state of affairs we have. Choose not to wear a mask in the nations capital get arrested. Walk across the southern border and released freely even without any kind of assurance that you are not bringing Covid or any other number of illnesses with you. And you wonder why some people have a hard time trusting what is coming out of our elected officials.

I don't think anyone said that Floyd deserved it. I don't think there was even anyone implying that. Floyd bears some of the blame, but that doesn't mean he deserved to die. As far as Floyd being martyred by Chauvin, that's horseshit. Being killed, justly or unjustly, does not erase who you were as a person. There is nothing about how Floyd conducted his life worth the admiration of complete strangers.

Your comment on Babbitt is also false. Outside of an insignificant number of people, the vast majority of people understand that at the end of the day, she made the decision that eventually led to her own demise. The difference is, nobody is up in arms about it because it wasn't a white police officer killing a black man. I mean, it was a black officer that killed a white woman, but race has never been considered as a contributing factor.

It really is terrible. Tens of thousands of people who illegally crossed the border are being bused across the country, many without even being given a court date, all while 1 out of every 3 of them are covid positive. Meanwhile we're blaming the unvaccinated Americans for the outbreak of the delta variant and turning us against each other while doing so. It's like they're making the unvaccinated private pyle eating the doughnut while the vaccinated are doing push-ups as punishment for Pyle having the doughnut. Pretty soon the vaccinated will get tired of being punished for the unvaccinated and will take turns beating the unvaccinated with a bar of soap in a sock.

What is this supposed to show? How is any of that a smoking gun?

A mob overwhelmed the Capitol police and some of them gave ground? Moved a barricade that was useless and was already being breached? Some of them interacted in a friendly way w/ some of the nonviolent protesters? So what?

You're not going on facts. The capitol police abandoned security on the south side of the building without any threat to their or the building's safety. There was a person wearing all black filmed breaking out a window right after the security left. This would be the window where many people entered without resistance. They didn't force their way in. The person in black has not been identified or arrested despite hundreds of other people who were not as easily identifiable being identified and arrested.

The barricades were not already being breached. The police moved the barricades out of the way and ushered people into the building. They even held the door for them for ****'s sake.

I believe everyone who entered the building should be held accountable to a reasonable level. Whether they were ushered in or not. But I still wonder if the building would have even been breached had it not been for the help of the capitol police. What their motivation was should be part of the investigation, but it won't be.

I said what I said about the Capitol, you asked for receipts. I posted them. You scoff at them. You see the pattern here?
There’s more out there to look at. I already know what you’ll say though.

Doesn’t change the fact that this was a SETUP.

What was set-up? Supporters of President Trump did not enter the Capitol unlawfully and disrupt a joint session of Congress?
Yes Trump supporters went in, but it was also some Antifa and BLM losers. This was a masterful setup by the powers in DC. Found a perfect opportunity to damage Trump and his supporters. This Sullivan guy wasn’t the only Antifa person there. I also showed you a link where Trump asked for extra support by the National Guard, but was denied.

Anyone that refuses to acknowledge that Antifa and BLM supporters disguised themselves as Trump supporters is either blind or totally ignorant.

I was largely responding to what @acc hoops said, regarding Babbitt.
I don't see Floyd as admired for who he was as a person. The injustice of his death is the only reason most of us have ever heard of him. As you said, his criminal record is irrelevant to that, so those memorializing him are focused on the right thing. The people bringing his past into it are malicious.

President Trump asked for the National Guard to protect his supporters and was denied because the Pentagon didn't want to be used to help a political cause. Why else would they deny the Commander-in-Chief?

1. DC mayor refuses to declare a state of emergency that would have given federal assistance to the security of the capitol building. Despite the intelligence that suggested there would be a security threat.

2. Pelosi, the one in charge of capitol security, turns down Trump's suggested extra security.

3. FBI infiltraters are recorded encouraging people to attack the capitol on January, 5th.

4. Capitol police abandoned security on the south entrance of the capitol where people would eventually be enticed to enter by unknown people who haven't been identified or arrested.

5. Capitol police remove barricades and usher people in while holding the door open for them.

6. Trump orders national guard to be deployed to the riot, but it is denied by the DHS.

Is this not a conspiracy?

It was a master plan, but some of the bit players although vital were horrible at their parts (police holding the door In looking at u) but kinda knew as we all know that the msm will cover the Dems no matter what. We have the most bumbling incompetent pres and vp in history ( or at least in the television age) and because they don’t rock the pc boat and like to spend $ like drunken sailors we are told by the msm and a couple of sheep on this board how great things are. The fundamental ? raised by Jan 6 is why was the Natl Guard not called in. If it was an “insurrection” why did the Trumpers so easily give up ground and not hole up in the Capitol for days on end? After Jan 6 what happened to BLM? Do they not want “justice” anymore? Or does the media just not cover it now that Trump is out of office?

Maybe another one?

No matter what you think, this was a trap.
Town Hall is trash. Sky News Australia is trash. You like them because they confirm whatever you think.
The problem is that whatever anyone else might know to the contrary, you reject it in favor of what you wish was true, and you are willing to cling to any trash "source" that backs you up. They're controlling you like a puppet.

Would this qualify as name-calling? I think this should qualify as name-calling. I mean, being too much of a coward to finish the word might fool the kind of people who believe pseudoscience and conspiracy theories, but...

George Floyd provides a really good example of why privileged White conservatives should be all-in on reforming white supremacist policing, too: When someone is treated unjustly, they become the victim. George Floyd isn't a "national hero"; he's a victim. Decent human beings sympathize with victims. If privileged White conservatives want to hide the fact that they're not decent human beings, they should make sure white supremacist policing doesn't kill Black people so that privileged White conservatives aren't exposed. That way privileged White conservatives can keep hating Black people with criminal histories under the guise of "law & order" to make themselves feel better. Of course, you can still hope for white supremacist police practices to result in the murder of upstanding Black citizens, because then you can be really loud about how awful it is and pretend that all lives matter, like when you cite Clarence Thomas or Candice Owens as evidence of how open-minded you are.

1. This says she declared a state of emergency on January 6th. What do you mean?

2. From a very unbiased source, this article addresses GOP attempts to blame Speaker Pelosi. Specific to your claim that she oversees Capitol security: "The speaker does not oversee security of the U.S. Capitol. The speaker appoints one member of a four-member board that oversees Capitol security, and who then must be approved by the House."

3. From what I could find, that claim started with Revolver News, a right-biased, questionable site that has poor sourcing and no transparency. Tucker Carlson then promoted it, then GOP Congress members promoted it. What I have not been able to find is the recording itself or any evidence that it exists other than your saying it here. Do you have a link to it or know where I might find it?

I don't have the energy to look into 4, 5, or 6 right now, but that's 3-for-3 where I am highly skeptical about your claims, based on R-E-S-E-A-R-C-H. Could you provide any credible information supporting anything you've said here?
