lol That was a really unfortunate place for his stutter to happen: "America can be defined by one word... iwakflibitdeuh."

Thank you for posting this 18-second excerpt of a 17 minute speech. That carefully selected clip of less than 2% of the President's speech, chosen for no other reason than for confirmation bias, starts at 15:29. Uncoincidentally, almost exactly where the excerpt ends, the President gets back on track and completes a coherent story leading up to the one word he was getting at. (It's "possibility," for those afraid to discover context themselves.)

"We" being Americans, yes, we did.
Tell us how all the divisiveness in America is the fault of Democrats and how you're so above it, mac...
No, we didn’t. Cheating happened. Just too many powerful people behind it. On the matter of division in the country? Our power players want us divided, and the majority of them are Democrats, led by this joke of an administration. Biden is getting worse. He needed to be in a nursing home years ago. It’s beyond sad to watch him now.

Never said I was above it Datt. Nice try though. Keep swinging and missing.

Not all, but the majority. Whether its race, religion, sexual preference, gender or wealth ever democratic position is framed to pit us against each other. The wealthy dont pay their fair share, your race doesnt let you get ahead, the religions dont respect you as a person etc etc etc...if you take a position against anything the democrats promote you are immediately cast into a name-calling category of one sort or another....racist, homophobe, xenophobe, facist etc....and that is divisive....

I am sure you will say the right do it too...so lets hear the examples.

Ummm... no, if you take a position against what is just you get correctly labeled as something. It's cause and effect. I thought the GOP was the party of "personal responsibility." Well... take responsibility: If you oppose the legal right of gay people to get married and reap the benefits of that under law -- not in your place of worship, but all the govt benefits under law -- you support discrimination based on sexual orientation. That is a pretty textbook definition of bigotry. Where bigotry has to do with sexual orientation, we call the person doing that a h-o-m-o-p-h-o-b-e or a b-i-g-o-t. It's not name-calling; it's accurate labeling. It's not "a position against ANYTHING"; it' s not "IMMEDIATELY cast." There's a clear and accurate cause and effect.

The right calls the left all sorts of things. It's on full display in this thread nearly every day. I'm cursed if I do; cursed if I don't here: If I list those ways, I'll get called a whiner and have 4-5 responses for each example arguing and dismissing it; if I don't list them, I get told it's b/c I can't or b/c I'm scared. I'm not invested enough to waste my time, so the latter is the easy choice.

The left is not exclusively divisive. But they are the biggest culprits without any objective argument. The left aren't exclusively whiners, but they are by far the whiniest. Without any objective argument. The left aren't exclusively victims, but they are easily the worst at claiming to be victims. Again, without any objective argument.

The left relies heavily on sensationalism and false narratives on social issues in a direct effort to divide society. The right isn't some moral high ground by any means and has its own flaws and divisive actions. But when comparing, it's not close. The left is the worst.

The irony of your reply is that it proves my point

The left is incompatible with you. You're not objective.

I noticed that you didn't objectively refute anything I said. But you are right about the left being incompatible with me. They are repulsive as a whole. Not each individual, but as a whole.

You made no objective argument to refute. You just claimed it was true.

The argument is that the left divides more, whines more and plays victim more. The challenge was to objectively argue against that. I don't blame you for avoiding the challenge.

Same sex marriage isn't going anywhere and most conservatives don't care anymore. Why are we still worried about simple opinions based on religious beliefs?

It's still a pretty big deal based on some questions Judge Jackson fielded in her Senate hearing.
