The elephants may very well take a beating in the upcoming elections. I still say we got the best man for the job. Our country has been deteriorating, and it's easy to see. You just have to be a little open minded to see it though. For starters, admit how slanted the media has gotten over the years. Any Republican politician knows the coverage on them will not be favorable. It's at least 5 left leaning sites to 1 right.
So President Trump kicking CNN, MS NOW & Politico out is well deserved, and long overdue. They don't report the news, and haven't been for years. I can only hope and pray this is just the first of many dominos to fall. We need the news reported. Not your view. Any criticism of Trump by Obama, or any other Democrat can't be taken serious because the media fawns over them.

It's like with basketball. Jay Bilas is a sore name to mention around a lot of Duke fans, but he calls it like he sees it. You can't tell he went to Duke, and yeah sometimes it seems like he's slow to praise Duke, but unlike our media, he doesn't have an agenda.

Did anyone catch the woke reporter slamming Arch Manning after he laughed at the AI meme of his Coach Slapping Holly Roe? The woke reporter thought she would get a lot of likes. I believe she lost her job over the incident. They try to go after anyone that they think might be leaning right. It was funny!

Dumb take.

The media didn’t go to war with Iran. The media didn’t impose tariffs. Trump did. He and the people who voted for him are responsible for the mess unfolding across the country.

Trump is attacking the media now to distract from how terrible a job he’s done in the run-up to the midterms. He’s going back to the tried and true because, at this point, defending his actual record as president is a lost cause. It’s no surprise you gobbled it up, though. Critical thinking is not in your wheelhouse.

Lindsey Graham nailed it back in 2016 when he said, “If we nominate Trump, we will get destroyed… and we will deserve it.”

That time has come.

Talk about an awful take. Your first fault is you're young. The second is you're extremely foolish. Who's to say Iran didn't need to be dealt with? Time will tell kid. One thing for sure? The sources you get 'news' from aren't news. Propaganda yes, news, no. You haven't lived long enough to really know anything. You spew what you learned in school, which has been burned into you, and carried on into your young adult life. Not sure you'll grow out of it though. Which is very sad. The few of us on the right know for a fact you can't be taken serious because of this.

As far as Trump attacking the media? It's long, long overdue. They are so compromised, bought... they don't want to report the news. "Critical thinking is not in your wheelhouse." Hahaha. That has to be the richest comment I've read in quite some time. There's nothing about your thinking that is logical, nor common sense based. None. You only copy and paste what you read, and only read what lines up with your thinking. Which sadly, your thinking is wrong. Open your eyes grasshopper. Please.

Sark ignored Holly Rowe’s question said “ Hook ‘em horns”, then walked off. For a coach making 7 m $ a year, unacceptable. So I don’t know what the coach has to be angry about, other than the fact someone was holding him accountable, and the last time someone did that he lost his job and had to go to rehab. I don’t get the meme. These female reporters have to put up with a lot of bull.

Trump can’t get out of his own way. The outlets banned may have been off the charts anti Trump from the jump, no doubt, but by banning them they get to play free speech martyrs while at the same time he’s been accused of being a fascist and voila more fascist behavior on a silver platter. You’d think he’d have learned from the Jimmy Kimmel fiasco, but of course he didn’t. He acts out of spite and insecurity more than long term rational thinking. He either has a bunch of morons advising him or ignores them altogether. Or both.
But I agree with you that our resident Leftists would ignore high prices if a Dem were in office. How do I know this? 2021-2024. High gas prices? A good thing, people will drive less, go electric.
And we all remember how little they cared about a free press when Obama was in office. Or the Biden years, when the Pres was worse off than your Grandpa right before he got “sent off” and his press secretary, who was a complete half wit. The press corps despised Obama. He was the chosen one, so they had to parse their words, but his admin was reviled by all but the New York Times.

I thought you said Graham was a “ bought off” moron. So was he bought off then or bought off later?
I actually think our nation is quite resilient. The pendulum swings one way, then the other.
Whatever you think of Trump, unemployment is holding steady. No panic attacks lately from posters about their 401ks. We’re not even in a recession for Christ’s sake and you’re using quotes with the word ‘destroyed’.

You very well might be right. I'm hoping Trump has a plan for why he's doing what he is. I can't blame him for not allowing them. They aren't being honest. What I know for sure is we can't sustain how things have been. The media being one of many problems we face. Maybe he does act out of spite and insecurity. In a way though can you blame him? They don't even hide their bias. Corrupt to the core.

There's truth to the joke about Trump and the Pope out on the Potomac. The wind blew the Pope's hat out onto the water. Trump hopped out of the boat, walked over, grabbed his hat, and walked back to the boat.
The headlines on the msm after? "Trump can't swim."

The Dems will assuredly take the House, possibly the Senate. Here’s the tricky part for the Dems. The American people will be reminded of how much they hate Democrats. The open borders, the trans nonsense, the woke nonsense. Soft on crime, abortion on demand. The American people are sick of Trump, but will be reminded very quickly that the Dems are even worse.

2028? you wouldn’t think the Rep would be in the driver’s seat but after the next two years who knows?

Who will be the Dem candidate in 2028?

Aoc? Moron.
Newsom? See California.
Kamala? Come on. You tried that already.
Bernie? Winning primaries in the South and Midwest? Plus he’s 80.
Osoff? A token Jew is still a Jew. Won’t happen. Kamala said as much about Shapiro last go around. He was clearly a better candidate than Walz, but she chose Tampon Tim anyway.

The Dems are okay with electing this man to Senate.

For those of you a little slow in the back, the IRGC killed more civilians in a one month time frame than the IDF did in a two year urban war with an enemy who embeds in civilian populations, refuses to alllow civilians to exit evacuation areas, aspires to killing “every last Jew on Earth”, etc yet the cat got his tongue when asked to comment on the IRGC. Yet this same Senatorial candidate can’t seem to stfu about Israel. Hangs out with podcasters who claim that “ America deserved 9/11”. Sad.

For the humpteenth time, he is an example of the result of tolerance. This is also what the Democratic Party is shifting to.

We better pray for our country and Trump.

I’d frame it more as ‘identity politics’. Muslims are one of the favored groups. Which is odd since they’ve taken over 99% of the Middle East and North Africa and all of the minority groups are on the run, including the LGBTQIA+ ( did I do it right?) All others have been expelled or killed. Convert or die seems to be a weird rallying cry for the Left since they say they’re all about human rights, but whatever.
They fret when Trump sends an insensitive tweet, but are silent when trans and gays are actually murdered. Guess it’s all about having the right villain.

I agree with the premise that placing tolerance over common sense can lead to a version of suicidal empathy, but our opinions diverge on the constitutional protections provided to all Americans even Muslims whose worldviews are foreign to our own. I think we probably agree, though, that Houston we have a problem when we have elected officials who can’t condemn terroristic acts and have officials whose wives justify the rape and murder of civilians.

You're going back 10 years to point at President Obama and act as if you have a steel-trap objective memory of how Leftists responded back then with no consideration of nuance or context at all.

I've been over the gas price thing: when President Biden was in office, the gas prices were high due to a combination of international factors that were beyond our control. High gas prices now are the direct result of President Trump's very unpopular and poorly orchestrated war with Iran. The only similarity is the high gas prices. The reasons for them are completely different. Why would you expect responses to be the same? Yours isn't, either: You blamed President Biden before; you point at alleged hypocrisy from the Left now.

There is a big difference between msm being partisan and being liars. Even FoxNews -- by far the most biased of them all -- gets high marks for journalistic chops. Has President Trump ever acknowledged any of his decisions went less than great? Has he ever respected any criticism or handled any criticism with grace? Has he ever said anything along the lines of disagreeing with something but stopping short of calling it a complete lie, the worst ever, etc?

President Trump did not prove any of the media he banned lied about anything. He just claimed it and now his stans are bending over backward and falling all over themselves to carry water for him. A judge he appointed took all of 2 hours after closing arguments to deliberate, write, and publish a dismissal of his ban. It was dismissed because it was abundantly clear that it was an illegal crackdown on unfavorable press. Even Fox-frickin-News protested the ban.

This is an example of you having the argument you want to have, rather than responding to actual posts. I didn’t get in to any of that, whether Trump was right about them lying or not. I said it was a bad move politically to ban them, which it was and the legality of it all was part and parcel to my criticism of his ban to begin with. We’ve already addressed the gas price issue, and I’ve conceded repeatedly that the causes were different but so were the reactions. More direct blame to Trump, but Biden hardly an innocent bystander in it all.

You said about a month for you and Mac to ponder the significance of it all. One of you has to reach out. Time to bury the hatchet.

How did you respond “back then”? I’m guessing you didn’t respond at all.

“Going back ten years”.

There it is again. This weird obsession with time, when we all know full damn well that we’ll be hearing about these last two and next two years for the rest of our lifetimes. Spare us.

AOC is brilliant and she'd be amazing, but I don't think she's electable. Same with Buttigieg.
I'd be about as excited to vote for Newsom as I was for Biden, which was very, very low.
Kamala and Bernie are old news. No one thinks they have any chance anymore.
Osoff is one of very few people I find intriguing right now. I recognize being Jewish is a non-starter for many. Beshear, Shapiro, and Spritzer all have potential.

The borders will not be open. ICE may very well be disbanded, as they should be. Transgender people will be protected and respected. That's not "woke nonsense." It's basic human dignity and decency. The govt will stay out of the sports issue, the only reasonable gray area, as they should. It's not for politicians to decide. Abortion policy will stop being based on rage and emotion and return to being trusted to medical professionals. The next Democratic President will champion reigning in his own power to assure that we never see the authoritarian abuses of the Trump administration again in our lifetimes.

President Trump is quite possibly the worst human in the history of the Presidency. As disappointing as the Democratic Party is, they're many, many times better than he is.

I've addressed this as well: clean up your own backyard. You've never shown the slightest sign of caring about the LGBTQIAWQMC+ community except when you can use it in a "whataboutism." No one has the capacity to be involved or even aware of everything happening globally.

There are no radical Muslims remotely close to power in the US.
