1st post, and I've had a few to drink, so bear with me...

Talking to a neighbor (Auburn fan) and the discussion of Thursday night's game came up. I've always been one who states "Being a MSU fan forces you to realistic". We've had some successful years, but in my lifetime, more the other way. So I've always avoided the "wool" if you will. Trying to be realistic, I simply stated that we certainly have a much better chance than most years to beat Auburn. We'll be competitive.

After thinking about this, I was discouraged. How long must I think this way? That's when I thought of this post. We can pick apart all aspects of our current team. Russell this or Relf that. Special teams this....

I think to take the next step, our team (and our fans) need to get a bit of swagger going. I believe Mullen has the team becoming more confident. I hope to become more confident. Auburn will be a big step (if we win) to concrete this.

that you are NOT the most interesting freshman in the world. BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, I agree. The next step for us is a win over a quality team. You could make a case that Ole Miss last year was a quality win since they won the Cotton Bowl, but after this weekend, it's clear that they are not on the rise.

We also need to win six this year and we must go to a bowl. That's where we are right now.
