Arizona athletic director Greg Byrne tweets, "Coach Rodriguez is doing a great job w/our FB program. We talk regularly & feel good about him being our long term HC." This tweet appears in response to speculation of Louisville targeting Rich Rodriguez.

Yep. No doubt it is. Louisville's AD is good too though. Rich Rod is in a good spot.

Louisville has more money than Arizona does. Pizzas sell better than tacos.

Who started all this Rich Rod to UL ****? They are a pro-style offense and Strong recruited to that and RichRod runs the spread. It'd be a bad fit IMO. Look for WVU to go after RR after Dana gets canned next year.

RR burned that bridge.

I think the idea behind the whole rumor is that UofL is a stepping stone job, and by coming in and having a successful ~3 years he could get back to the Michigan-level jobs again. I tend to agree, but Arizona seems to be the perfect fit for him. It's a very Mississippi State-ish job, and as long as he takes Arizona bowling every year like he's done he'll have a good job for a long time.
