If Rhule is going to Penn state he better tell dannen right away so he has an early start looking for his replacement. James Franklin will get picked up we can’t wait until December. And yes I think we should hire Franklin. I’ll take playoff appearances he brings
I'm afraid for some there won't be any changes in Huskerland after this season other than a few assistant coaches being moved out. I believe Matt may have lost out on his dream job after last weeks debacle, I feel there is no way Troy Dannen is going remove Matt after this year regardless of record. jmo
If We do lose Matt Rhule did we really lose? We will lose recruits but the question is can our AD be bold enough to really hire the right HC to finally get this thing right, I'm tired of the same old retreads. There are so many great young coaches that just need the chance to show they can be great at their craft and build a winner. Nebraska has everything in place to win except the right coaches that teach toughness and are smart enough to see the right talent and bring them in for the right amount of NIL money.
Yes with a higher ceiling . I understand why Penn State got tired of him. We would have as well.
If someone at Penn State is impressed with what Braun has done at Northwestern, why wouldn't they back up the Brinks Truck for Clark Lea? He has all the same disadvantages at Vanderbilt, and has actually built a good team.
If Rhule decides to leave we only lose if the next HC is a total dud. If the next HC fixes the trenches in Year 1, we’ll know we have right person.
