Hofstra won 12 in a row in the CAA which is ****** conference despite having Charleston before losing in the tourney semis. Scheduled strong out of conference but mixed results

Beat Charleston in league, other notable wins Iona and Princeton. Got blown out by St Mary's and Purdue. 14-2 in Quad 4 games

It all depends on the team's psyche. If the team is "into it," we should win. But come out flat and uninterested, and Hofstra wins. My money is on Pike motivating the team to play with energy.

Rutgers 69
Hofstra 60

Before 3,452 at the RAC.

Is that player on Hofstra somebody who we really may have a shot at or interest in?

Aaron Estrada transferred up to Oregon in 2020-21 and averaged 3PPG off the bench when Eugene Omoyuri was at Oregon. Then he came back east and landed at Hofstra. I don't know if he's a starting high major guard, but he will help someone if he wants to transfer for a 3rd time.

It's harmless since it means absolutely nothing to the game. just enjoy
Enjoy what? making a prediction ? I can enjoy the game without making a prediction or seeing the predictors attacking the team after an unexpected loss. Anyway who really listens to them . We recently found out how wrong some experts are. Have fun.

RUTGERS 74 Hofstra 64
To me this one is impossible to predict not knowing the mental state of the team. If RU can pick themselves off the floor and play with great determination they should win handily. If they can’t recover from the devastating snub by the Committee, they will make an early exit Tomorrow night.

Not predicting anything other than we should play a lot looser now with nothing on the line, so we should be able to put up some better offense

Our prized recruits should be following the contests. Have to think the further we advance, the better in terms of recruiting impression. So there's that "angle."

I know it has to be tough on the players to get motivated after what happened, but one thing that should motivate them is that a loss to a team like Hofstra totally vindicates the selection philosophy of overweighting bad losses that led to them being left out.
