So what is everyones complaint about replying etc...? I have always seen it and never understood what the deal was.

Is it people do or do not like to be quoted? Is there some secret handshake thing that you see that I have not been looking at?

Understood that part, but is it that "quotes are/are not used" or it does not show in the Threaded view?

I use Hybrid but never really look at anything other than if someone is quoted. If I have an issue I always quote a person otherwise I have no idea who a reply is too.

The only problem with quotes is that they're not necessary unless you use the inferior view and continued use of them throughout the thread just makes everything a lot more cluttered and leads to the same thing being posted several times as everyone who replies to it quotes it. Really don't care if anyone else uses quotes, but I generally don't because they shouldn't be necessary.

Mobile always ends up with my reply being to the OP, so I always quote whoever I'm replying to. Also, I really just wanted to quote your long post about being annoyed by unnecessary quoting of long posts

If you quote on mobile - it messes up those that use the hybrid view. It's unfortunately a bug and won't be fixed by vbulletin. I've checked.

Its not a bug. Its a feature.

There is a reason that nearly every vb board in the world uses topic view.

We get it. You don't like threaded view. Some people do. It's a bug when the mobile doesn't work like the non-mobile version as far as behavior.

I don't know what you're talking about. I do know that many times a reply will be made that appears to be a reply to my comment but it doesn't show up under my comment. I was beginning to get an inferiority complex believing that no one wanted to acknowledge that they commented to a reply that was made by me, but then it occurred to me that it really didn't matter and that I really don't give a ****.

Thanks dawgstudent. I'm glad there is one vb board whose Admins give a **** about what the members like and choose to give them the choice of style.
